That would make O2 happy. That was one of the built-in functions when it launched.
You can’t enable now though because we turned off the calendar server that it used years ago.

Were you trying to install on the internal memory of the device?

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

When LMS player connects to LMS it is told the version of the LMS it is connecting to. There is a bug in the version comparison check that is made by the Squeezeplay in SQPOS303 which leads to it incorrectly reporting that it cannot work with versions of LMS 8 and higher. I have posted a fix Squeeze...

Not trivial.
However, you could replace Squeezeplay with Jivelite.

Re: Wink Relay V2 to Squeezeplayer

I think I read somewhere that the Zigbee or z-wave frequencies are different.

I had a quick look on eBay but all for sales were, probably unsurprisingly, in USA.

Perhaps fsck would tidy things up.

Is it left powered up 24*7 ?

Re: Updating SqueezePlay ... I don't get it

The manufacturer certainly isn't pushing out anything new to existing hardware. ;) While true that the manufacturer isn't ... the community is! There is new firmware for Squeezebox Touch and Controller that resolves a few things and now support in LMS for installing that firmware. The 23 day issue,...

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

I do not remember which terminal type fixed it for me ... and I don't have an easy way to test it where I am now.

From memory, there are about 6 terminal types in Putty.
So try each in turn by disconnecting, select the next one, reconnect, run alsamixer ... f6 .... if it exits ... repeat

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

SSH in and try running alsamixer (you might have to play with SSH terminal settings to allow you to navigate the menus properly) - it might just be that the volume needs to be boosted. Also - a patch is coming to LMS 8 to allow the old Joggler SqueezePlay to connect without giving the LMS version er...

Could always put a small USB hub in between.

SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

How about booting from USB?

If that works then perhaps it is a problem with the internal storage.

I went a couple of years ago and spent ages reliving my early career.
Well worth a trip for the history of computing with a UK flavour.
Had a good chat with some of the guides.
