Good point.
Was a very generic “selling” post.

Re: 4x OpenPeak 7E on E Bay Sold out
Depending on price ... I'd take another 1 or maybe 2.

Re: Mosquitto - MQTT
I don’t think HASS LMS tool does full auto discovery like LMS player so my guess is that it found it on port 9000 on one of the HASS known servers ... perhaps on same system as HASS itself.

Here is the one that I was referring to
Squeezebox integration for Amazon Alexa

See the "transport" folder for that chunk of MQTT integration.

It is being used in one of the Squeezebox Alexa integration tools.
Not Joggler related but code is available to look at on GitHub ... can't remember link and am on way out.

Re: Free (broken) Joggler - Just postage costs
I'm interested but mainly for the power supply because I bought a Joggler on eBay a while ago that did not have one.
Any other scavengers want Joggler and power supply or only Joggler?
If no-one else interested then I'd be happy to take both.
London area.

Sorry - too late.
Because I could not get USB boot to work properly, I overwrote internal memory and did not have a backup.
Risky but worked.

Re: 4x OpenPeak 7E on E Bay Sold out
I rewrote the EFI with Avaya version and then my SQPOS USB stick worked without issue. I did make a backup of the original EFI in case anyone wanted to inspect it ... but the danger with 2 USB sticks that look the same is that I subsequently overwrote it with another image so lost it. Anyway - my ne...

Re: Openpeak 7e - British Gas / OpenEnergy
I'll have a look at that - (reprogram NIC) - first though I think I'll investigate updating the Squeeze player. There are quite a few changes made since the one on SQPOS - in particular a display format that increases the size of cover art. So - Roobarb ... if you see lots being pulled from your dow...

Re: Openpeak 7e - British Gas / OpenEnergy
I took the chance ... and wrote the Avaya EFi to it. I couldn't do it with Roobarb's reflash 1.11 - there was an error message that implied to me it was not able to do the modprobe fh So - I did it by hand and ... it worked Now boots with Avaya logo - and the USB image of SQPOS that would not run be...

Re: Openpeak 7e - British Gas / OpenEnergy
I've now risked booting with internet accessible - and it has not changed things. I can still USB boot from reflash tool. I can still internal boot with 30300 Openpeak - but cannot get it to boot from SQPOS on internal or USB. I was using my trusty old USB key for the reflashing - that I have used o...

Openpeak 7e - British Gas / OpenEnergy
I picked up one of these on Ebay this week. I have not yet let it have an Internet connection just to be sure that it does not find a remote update that breaks something (although it is possible that a previous owner has done that). Anyway - it boot up into a British Gas branded Tango UI. The About ...

Re: Alerty - An App I've Written!
FYI the Openpeak 7e device that I collected today boots up with a British Gas logo (top left after boot, not the initial logo, which is Openpeak) and has an AlertMe app. I tried booting SqueezePlayOS from USB but, for now at least, it is not working. I do see USB activity (USB stick has an activity ...

4x OpenPeak 7E on E Bay Sold out
Mine arrived earlier than expected. It boots into original stuff - which has a British Gas logo an energy monitoring app that appears to be personalised (perhaps original was with some specific Zigbee kit) and the AlertMe app (I reply to another thread about that). Power supply is multivoltage but s...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)
If each player (Joggler/Openpeak) presents itself to LMS as the same MAC address then it will cause odd problems. Note - the player in the Joggler/Openpeak can claim to be a particular MAC address via a command line parameter. So - turn off one device and connect the other one and look at LMS web in...

Re: 4x OpenPeak 7E on E Bay Sold out
Mine is due to arrive on Friday.
Plan is to replace the bathroom Joggler (far from water and power from outside) with the hope that first mention is of the Radio sounding better rather than "where did that enormous monstrosity come from?".

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)
You connect via SSH ... and from Windows, probably the easiest way is install "Putty" then use it to login (id joggler and password is the same). While in you could change the password (passwd). See also https://birdslikewires.uk/squeezeplay-os for other things that you might like to do vi...
