Re: Unity on small screens

Hmm. I was having a play with Natty yesterday and had nothing but trouble with Unity. So much so that I binned the VM and went back to 10.10 - even Ubuntu Classic was being twitchy.

Re: Squeezeplay - device already registered

Not sure on that one, I'm afraid. Is this with the SqueezePlay preinstalled on the image?

You could try

Code: Select all

rm -rf /home/joggler/.squeezeplay
to kill off all of the configuration data and reload SqueezePlay...

Re: Enabling SSH and SCP - New Easy Method

Do you have the latest firmware running on the Joggler? I included a check that would prevent the script from running if the version number isn't 26635.S3, so if you're not running that version, nothing will happen.

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)

Yes, it is a bit clunky shuffling the contents of the home screen around. Press-hold-drag would be much better, but at least it works.

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)

I think this is intended in SqueezePlay - I remember reading something about those options being moved to the context menus for each individual item. If there's something you want on the home screen, just press and hold on that item and a menu should appear with the appropriate option. Remember thou...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)

Turns out that the disappearing audio problem is still present even with the patches, so I've re-enabled the asound.conf patching bit in the installation script.

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)

New version released! Quite a few tweaks, including proper linking to mysqueezebox.com accounts on initial installation and automated backlight control using the Joggler's in-built light sensor. Note: This version includes changes to the way the audio system works, in theory to prevent problems with...

Re: Strange screen display on boot up

The OpenPeak logo is perfectly normal on earlier Jogglers. I've only bumped into one, but other than the logo (and a slightly different screen alignment to the touchscreen) it behaved in exactly the same way as the O2 boot logo ones. Some pics of the display looking odd would be handy, then we'd hav...

No, this wouldn't make any difference to PnP. If nothing happened, are you sure your USB stick booted?

Re: [Testers Required!] SqueezePlay Bugfix

I wasn't getting much response on this thread, so I started making some changes. Unfortunately I didn't get them finished before going away, so it's broken right now. Think I'll spend a little time on it again today.

Re: Changing Default SSH Password for letmeinssh.

No problem - you might find the SSH and SCP Enabler I wrote recently handy too - adds secure file copying (although you will need to change your password again afterwards).

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)

Actually, by "external audio interface", what exactly do you mean? Your /etc/asound.conf file is right - that's how it should look after my installer has run. By external audio interface I mean a USB-connected audio device. If you're running speakers from the 3.5mm socket, you're using th...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)

I am using an external audio interface. I have not modified the alsa.conf, unless the previous owner has... which I wouldn't think so. I am connected with a SB Server on the network, but I thought internet radio doesn't go through the server anyway? Hmm, could you run this: cat /etc/asound.conf and...

Enabling SSH and SCP - New Easy Method

------------------------------------ SSH and SCP Enabler v1.03 - DOWNLOAD 5th November 2012 ------------------------------------ I was interested in finding out how the Joggler's native operating system updates itself via USB devices, and in the process I've ended up writing a new SSH and SCP enable...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)

Basically, the sound is sped up - Chris Moyles and the crew speaks in a weird sped up voice, and after every minute or so it would pause and say buffering for a few seconds then carry on with the sped up voices. It is fine using Tarkan's build. Normal music listening is fine too. Thanks. Great work...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)

I have a weird problem with Squeezeplay (Ubuntu 10.10 image with preinstalled Squeezeplay). I'm afraid I can only really comment on the version I have released - BuZz's preinstalled version has some differences to mine. I would recommend installing my version (see the start of this thread) which wi...
