Right will help you out now mev! I did build a graphics driver for XP, so have a little experience, will get cracking and see what I can come up with aswell, how you finding win 8? runs well dont it :D

My patching of inf drivers was not succesful by the way, all ended in a inf windows 8 hated, would not mind reading that guide you have mev! :P

Just reinstalling windows 8 now to try my edited inf file, Added NTx86.6.2 support :P

Now looking up how to add windows 8 installation to the inf, I knew gma500 was a bitch from when we were starting out with windows xp, always corrupted the installs, but thought I might aswell try them just for tryings sake lol

INF install fails due to the operating system not being supported, but have been using it with the basic display adaptor driver and its been ok, and yeah after searching around seems as though the only hope would be a gma 500 driver, which from my testing only results on BSOD, (was the same on windo...

Well, windows 8 works , sound only through headphone jack, shut down and start up works,metro apps dont work, screen resolution too low, but seems to run a little better than 7, this is on the 0,4 bios, could not get the bios to update via F7. Hehe, my searching did some good,if activating windows is causing problems, try a kms activator instead, it does not load anything into the bios.

Thinking ACPI will have to be told its not there so it does not try to call it, just brainstorming here but its the only way I can help, coding is not something I am very good at so if I can throw ideas at yah maybe one will help lol EDIT: HaHa, copy and paste coder, thats what my mate used to call ...

Just finding the slimmed win 7 in my archives, then will proceed with pwboot, onto a 250gb usb hard drive. its quite fast too this drive, around 40mbps, so should run ok!
