Re: USB Partition
Thanks, all working now. EDIT - when I rebooted & entered "sudo btrfsctl -r max /" I got an error message "ioctl:: Invalid argument" yeh sorry, actually parted doesn't let us delete and recreate the partition now (something must have changed to add this "protection"...

The Joggler wiki has moved - do not use the .info address
Please note the Joggler wiki is available at http://www.jogglerwiki.com/ (where this forum lives), not on any site ending in .info - the old location was sold to a squatter to use the site to make money and is not usable as a wiki anymore. I assume you are using btrfs ? If using ext4, you can resize using gparted. to resize btrfs please see http://www.jogglerwiki.com/forum/viewto ... &p=135#p30

Re: Program cannot write to usb drive.
If you can't save directly to a USB drive, you can use WinSCP (not sure of any Mac equivalents) to copy the file to your computer hard drive. The following page tells you how to install SCP on the Joggler. You must have SSH installed first but you already have if you've installed P'n'P. http://www....

Re: Linux Mint for the O2 Joggler
Only snag is that attempting to play any music file just dumped me out of XBMC and back to the desktop. Audio is working fine in Movie playback in XBMC and also Squeezeplay. Any ideas of what to look for? disable the music visualiser - it doesn't currently work. This is mentioned in the xbmc sectio...

Re: Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick ) for the O2 Joggler.
I just tested it, and plugged in a usb stick with a single fat32 partition, and it automounted fine. Perhaps you can give me some more details as I can't reproduce it
[edit] actually I tested the wrong image version. Will get back about this later.

Re: Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick ) for the O2 Joggler.
That's bad news. But is it possible to download the new 2.6.37 kernel to upgrade my 2.6.34 kernel? I'm sure you can understand as a single person, I don't have the time to package everything up and maintain three fully auto updating distributions. Or maybe you can't. you can get my kernels from her...

Re: Best USB stick for Joggler?
It depends what hard drive you're using. I've got a Sumvision 120gb hard drive that will power up but before the disk is available the Joggler is past the part of its boot cycle where it can boot from the device. I've also got a Seagate 250gb drive that does boot up but, despite my initial enthusia...

I don't think it can so you would need a powered hub or something.

Re: Best USB stick for Joggler?
Hi alex,
You can try one of my super talent pico C if you like. write speed is average but it has a great read speed (and is pretty small). the corsair stick is very quick but also large but could be hidden behind it with a small usb hub.

Re: Linux Mint for the O2 Joggler
I think maverick is the most stable (only because mint menu can crash - apart from that they are almost identical). Linux mint is basically just ubuntu with their own stuff on top - and the mint menu can be a bit slow (and has bugs). Still I prefer the mint layout on a desktop from ubuntu (and use i...

Re: Linux Mint for the O2 Joggler
This was my first image, as I liked linux mint 9 at the time, but I'm wondering if anyone actually uses it ? if not I might concentrate my time on future updates to jolicloud/ubuntu maverick for example - updating one less distro will save me some hours.

There were a couple of minor things like that hence I pulled the images last night - but switching on compiz is very easy. go to desktop settings and turn on normal desktop effects. google could have told you this also im sure ;-) [edit] the added bonus is i quickly added a new wireless firmware to ...

Re: Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick ) for the O2 Joggler.
good to know it works. The thing is, I don't have my joggler's connected to any sound system - the built in speakers are ok for my purposes People complain about the joggler sound quality but when I plugged in some headphones I thought it sounded ok. Maybe my hearing is bad
