Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

The new BBC Sounds plugin on LMS works well with the Joggler and a USB soundcard, but not before editing /etc/asound.conf - if you don't, you'll get an unsupported sample rate error. BBC Sounds broadcasts at 320kbps and 48kHz. Change the sample rate in /etc/asound.conf from 44100 to 48000 (44.1kHz ...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

I have tried using "of-expand"

It sort of works :?

After the reboot one has to wait for a long time as the screen reports blocks being added until finished.

I know roobarb! has mentioned the "of" commands are one his list of thinks to fix.

Anyway, a server problem, not a Joggler problem: every player in the house was affected at the same time.

Any messages in the server log ?

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

I could not get a list of squeezelite output devices as the "new user", both "of" and "root" provided the list. sudo usermod -aG audio newuser That'll probably sort it. Users need to be members of certain groups to get permission to tinker with the various systems, aud...

Re: Sudden buffering problem in SqueezeplayOS

Breakthrough! After updating to 8.3, the pi-based LMS has been solid as a rock for over 2 days! Many thanks Ronnie, if it hadn't been for your tip about switching branches I would never been able to find that version. I'm going to hold off buying any hardware for now & see how it goes. Thanks e...

sijones wrote: Sun Jun 12, 2022 12:48 pm Ah - no 8.3 that I can see in piCoreplayer - I've manually pushed it to update to 8.2.1, will see how that goes.

On the LMS tab page, scroll down to "Select Branch" and choose the Development version.
Tick the radio button, and then select manual update

I had to adjust the volume slider on the screen to 100% but the dac has no sof...
