Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)
The new BBC Sounds plugin on LMS works well with the Joggler and a USB soundcard, but not before editing /etc/asound.conf - if you don't, you'll get an unsupported sample rate error. BBC Sounds broadcasts at 320kbps and 48kHz. Change the sample rate in /etc/asound.conf from 44100 to 48000 (44.1kHz ...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame
I have tried using "of-expand"
It sort of works
After the reboot one has to wait for a long time as the screen reports blocks being added until finished.
I know roobarb! has mentioned the "of" commands are one his list of thinks to fix.

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame
I could not get a list of squeezelite output devices as the "new user", both "of" and "root" provided the list. sudo usermod -aG audio newuser That'll probably sort it. Users need to be members of certain groups to get permission to tinker with the various systems, aud...

I tried a "new user" and downloaded squeezelite. I could not get a list of squeezelite output devices as the "new user", both "of" and "root" provided the list. I have abandoned "new user" in favour of "of" Just a note: Set up; "Bettin...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame
Should I continue as user "of" or is it best practice to create a new user ? :? The default "of" user is in the sudoers list, so can perform superuser tasks when authenticated. So if you were being strict, yes, you could create a "squeezeplay" user with no special priv...

Re: Sudden buffering problem in SqueezeplayOS
Breakthrough! After updating to 8.3, the pi-based LMS has been solid as a rock for over 2 days! Many thanks Ronnie, if it hadn't been for your tip about switching branches I would never been able to find that version. I'm going to hold off buying any hardware for now & see how it goes. Thanks e...

On the LMS tab page, scroll down to "Select Branch" and choose the Development version.
Tick the radio button, and then select manual update

Re: Sudden buffering problem in SqueezeplayOS
@sijones Are any of the Jogglers synced together? If you have one Joggler that you use more than the others, I would like to suggest that you try roobarb! 's https://www.jogglerwiki.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=33140#p33140 I have run it briefly, using Squeezelite and Jivelite. The method for installi...

I tried to "sudo of-install squeezeplay" but that failed. :( I made a fresh image and downloaded Raphy's squeezeplay and using the info from this link, got sound. https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?107837-Install-Squeezeplay-on-RPi3-with-full-OS-not-just-picore-or-max2play&p...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame
I have just plugged in a dac. I connected a passive usb hub, added the 16gb usb stick with the image, and plugged in an old North Star Design Essensio dac; reconfigure the squeezelite settings and started playback. I had to adjust the volume slider on the screen to 100% but the dac has no sof...
