Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)

I found that my soundcard didn't turn itself on in this circumstance, and the Joggler was uncannily silent. I don't know why. That's interesting... never had this issue, but I'm using an external USB soundcard (actually a Topping TP30 amp with built-in USB input) and the simplified asound.conf poin...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)

Could I just remove it without any problems? I don't use my Jogglers for anything else apart from SqueezePlay! This is very much "at your own risk" but I autostart Squeezeplay through a mod to the end of /openpeak/tango/run so that the original GUI never runs at all. Squeezeplay will rest...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)

This is really great news (slightly tempered by the fact that I spent some of the weekend hacking my DVB radio streamer in the Squeezecentre server to resample the 48kHz MP2 to 44.1kHz MP3 in the server, thus bypassing the problem for me). Anyway, one thought... Assuming that most of the content pla...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)

One thing which may be worth trying is to add a "rate" statement to your asound.conf definition - I think that this will force the Joggler to resample non-default rates, which isn't ideal, but resolved problems I had playing 48kHz sources. My asound.conf is as follows: # cat /etc/asound.co...

Re: Native O.S. add drivers?

You might want to try adding a "rate" statement to your asound.conf to reduce the speeded-up playing issues? I was getting various pops and bumps playing 48kHz material through two USB cards (a FiiO E7 and Behringer UCA222) until I changed my file as below. I'd ideally like to find a way f...
