Re: Anyone using this robot vaccum thingamajig?
It worked a couple of years on my wood floors where I had my old parrot living. Kika (parrot) is now 45 years old and still lives in a nook next to the kitchen dining area. kika1.jpg Congratulations @alexis92 on your marriage!! Yes here too got a vacumn cleaner for a wedding present many many years ...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame
@cszhy You have to utilize sudo for all of the scripts and commands. This caused me issues with the scripts that created the squeezebox user and xorg stuff anyhow. I mentioned that I was able to get Squeezeplayer going on the Joggler. That said I cannot get it going on the OP2 (large Openpeak with t...

Will try new image tonight (Chicago time). Thinking I used and tinkered with the first generation Roomba many many years ago. It worked until it didn't and I never automated it.

Re: A Joggler with bad BIOS chip
Thinking you can fix it. Boot up using a USB hub with one USB boot up Ubuntu stick and the other with an EFI boot bios saved here. I like the Avaya boot bios.

Re: Writing a MAC address to Joggler NIC
No magic and probably just a fluke (corner case?) that it wouldn't boot to the DOS stick. It's been a long time here since I have done this. I have done what you did and it worked for me also. Thinking it might be related to the draw of the WiFi stick in there. All of the O2 Jogglers post NIC card u...

Re: Finally cracked it!
Make sure that there is no direct contact between the WiFi stick inside of the Joggler to the main board. I had cephalon tape on the wifi stick edge. It could be that the O2 Joggler is getting hot and making the stick hot? Here using the original WiFi stick on one of the Squeezeplayers and it does f...

Re: OpenPeak 1 Interior Pictures
This is a picture of Cisco's Android tablet and cradle which was Openpeak. I purchased one of these new. I could not modify this device.
This was OpenPeak's first Android Tablet which was shown as a prototype in electronic shows but never really sold to the public.

OpenPeak 1 Interior Pictures
These are pictures of a modified Openpeak 1 (O2 Joggler sized tabletop). Will remove motherboard to take pictures under neath. Note that the Openpeak 1 has a DECT / Zigbee chip. Zigbee chip is connected to a serial chip / interface on the motherboard. There is an antenna connection and antenna for e...

Re: Finally cracked it!
The O2 Joggler has no issues streaming SD video when I tested it years ago on Ubuntu 14.X on the Joggler. I would stream SD from an Axis SD Video server just fine. You can downgrade an HD video quickly using Handbrake. As mentioned above a HD Crystal mini HD PCie card in the Openframe 2 did work wel...

Re: Mosquitto - MQTT
Initially was using Espurna and Tasmota (early versions) on ESP based iOT devices. Now have gone to only using Tasmota for all of the devices. Very impressive. Integration to Home Assistant is easy. That said the Tasmota devices have built in timers for programming automation based on sunrise / suns...

@riaclark Got XBMC running nicely years ago using the Openpeak 2 removing the combo mini PCiE WLAN / BT card with a Crystal HD mini PCiE 1080HD video card. Did get XBMC running on a custom 14.X Ubuntu build posted here on the forum years ago. It was slow. Today use 2 HD Homerun OTA devices (4 tuners...

Re: Finally cracked it!
What EFI/BIOS were you using? This is an original O2 Joggler with only the Avaya EFI bios and Realtek chip mac update using an external 32Gb USB stick (Tiny Samsung one). In alsamixer there should be an option for muting... I think it's Line Out + Speaker or something like that. Not near a Joggler ...

Re: Finally cracked it!
So took the USB stick to another O2 Joggler / Squeezeplayer. No buzz at all now except that the sound continues to play on internal and external speakers.
Went to the Alsa Mixer and tinkered a bit with muting but do not see any features relating to muting on the Line out stuff.

Installed newest OS / Squeezeplayer (Ubuntu Bionic (Kernel 5.10) for OpenFrame) on my O2 Joggler here. Wrote image to a 32Gb tiny USB stick. Installed WiFi stuff. Time zone. Installed Squeezeplayer and rebooted. Squeezeplay came up right away. Only concern is that I have a loud buzz on the audio via...
