Re: axis-tv-1000p

I purchased two of these. One the back lighting is messed up. I am thinking they came from some University that was using them for conference rooms. Geez you could make this one a combo Home Assistant automation server with a touchscreen display. I am currently using another Jetway computer as a Hom...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Fix boot redoes the boot partition. IE: so it will convert the EFI boot to an MBR boot.

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Andy,

Do you think if I installed latest build on a Seabios'd Openframe1 that I could do a fixboot repair on it to get it to boot via MBR?

IE: I would write the image to a 16Gb SSD, then boot with a fix boot ubuntu stick?

Re: Updating Openpeak 1 devices with SSD drives - Revisit

Here are my steps to create a new Windows touchscreen Openpeak 1 device. I decided to do this on a new virgin untouched Openpeak 1 prototype device. It's been a long time so I thought I would give it a try. Note I am learning to take pictures with my phone these days and not using the digital SLR mu...

Updating Openpeak 1 devices with SSD drive - XPe - Revisit

Found a source in HKG for the small 16Gb SSD drives and flipped zif 40 pin cables that I am using for my automation touchscreens. These are tiny and fit nicely inside of the Openpeak 1's. The Openpeak 1 was similar to the Openpeak 2. This was the device used for Telco in the cloud used by a variety ...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Settled on back to bul-ext2-1028-43-bullseye-5.10.143op. I had issues with bul-ext2-1028-43-bullseye-5.10.144op and bul-ext2-1028-43-bullseye-5.10.145op. bul-ext2-1028-43-bullseye-5.10.145op would write to eMMC and or USB stick except when booting it would say file is missing. Tried this a few times...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Decided to try bul-ext2-1028-43-bullseye-5.10.145op on Openframe 2. Tried via USB stick and on eMMC. Same error on both ...file missing while booting...never saw this before...had no issues writing to USB stick or eMMC. Not fast enough...saids file: not found Just boots to a blinking cursor and gets...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Its a OpenFrame 2 (Cisco Home Energy Controller, Telio Touch) device with the two speakers in front. Thinking that that has DECT and Zigbee chip. This one like the little ones are labeled OpenPeak. It originally came with a DECT phone. It came new in a black box with an OpenPeak logo, serial number ...

Bluetooth is working fine for keyboards and mice now. Only thing not working is audio bluetooth out. Found out that I have to use BlueAlsa which is old and I have been trying to install it and have been unsuccessful.

Re: DDBR method to backup and restore

Thinking about this and years ago before writing to my test Openpeak devices I would just boot up with a Ubuntu USB stick and do a DD of the emmc to the USB stick or something similiar. I did most of this with Verizon (openpeak) telco Openpeak devices. Not sure if these images are posted here. Its b...

Re: Free Joggler located in Germany - you only pay for shipping

Look for an OpenPeak with OpenPeak logo on it. These were sold by Avaya, Cisco and a few telco companies a while ago.

It is similiar but different than the Joggler. Huge heatsink on it, DECT and Zigbee chips built in and a zif IDE clip on it.
