Re: White screen on boot
Check the connection from the LCD screen to the motherboard and from the motherboard to the LCD screen. Sometimes mine have moved and this has caused issues with the LCD.

Re: Ubuntu Emergency Mode on Expansion
Does the image above have a desktop ? No. You have to manually install it. You can start though by running a script. Go to this directory first: root@ICS-Jog-SQP-19:/usr/local/sbin# ls of-backlight of-expand of-identifier of-ip of-scripts.ver of-timezone of-clean of-flash of-install of-netplan of-s...

Re: Ubuntu Emergency Mode on Expansion
Good news!!!
Relating to Kernel 5.4...
ALSA in Kernel 5.4 does not auto-detect audio jack hotplugging.
Old kernel still works best for me.
Opera is another lite weight web browser.

Yes download this image. https://birdslikewires.net/download/openframe/images/ubuntu/latest_316/bio-ext2-1028-43-bionic-3.16.85op.img.gz Then write the image to a USB stick using this program (BalenaEtcher) which works in Windows, Linux or iOS. https://www.balena.io/etcher/ Then before you boot up w...

Re: Ubuntu Emergency Mode on Expansion
Welcome to the O2 Joggler Forum @Scriven33. I have Ubuntu on my laptops here and always expand the base Ubuntu USB stick partition using GParted as mentioned above. Works 100% of the time. Just recently purchased a small footprint 32Gb USB stick for the side of one Joggler and I do not notice it muc...

Re: can I buy this?
Yes.
O2 Joggler will boot first from a USB stick. The inside eMMC could be in a corrupt state. That said try writing first to the inside eMMC. It might boot.
If not then you can use an external USB stick for the OS.

Re: Free Joggler
Here recently took the oldest O2 Joggler with a failing eMMC and purchased a small footprint USB stick for it and wrote newest Ubuntu image to the USB stick.
Lately using balenaEtcher (Etcher) which runs in Windows, Linux and Macs. Works great. Give it a try.
Happy future birthday Gary!!!

Re: Writing a MAC address to Joggler NIC
Apologies ...I am reading this for the first time and assuming you gave the jogglers each a unique mac address..
Here sync'd the unique mac address a bit to the IP address (last 2 characters) and name...joggler-01, joggler-02 ....

Re: Joggers getting same IP address
Guessing you made each MAC address unique to each Joggler? Install ethtool sudo apt install ethtool sudo ip link show Each joggler should have a unique MAC address. Then do: sudo ethtool mac_address This will show the hardware nic specs. Both Jogglers hardware mac addresses should be unique. Try thi...

Re: Hamclock RPi project on Joggler? - FIXED
Way back around 1965-1966 I was tinkering with amature radio. Built a radio shack under my parent front porch at the time. Main receiver was a Hammerlund HQ-150 and Hallicrafters radio and used a Knight Kit 50 watt code transmitter. Strung up a dipole antenna from my parents house to a nearby buildi...

Re: Joggers getting same IP address
You can put a mac address / firmware on the Realtek NIC on the Joggler if you want. 1 - you basically write an image to any USB stick to do this. 2 - replace the EFI bios with a Seabios 3 - write the mac address to the Realtek chip via command line once you boot in to DOS 4 - reboot and hit the F12 ...

Re: Wink Relay V2 to Squeezeplayer
Seen a hack / mod to use 220 or a 220 to 5VDC power supply. Only difference between WiFi is max power here in the US is 200mW and UK is 100mW.
That said I have only only seen WiFi here at up to 100Mw. WiFi frequencies are the same.

Wink Relay V2 to Squeezeplayer
These are being dumped on Ebay for some very good prices. (IE cheaper than a used Joggler) Going to install one in the main bathroom such that it is running Squeezeplayer and a Home Assistant MQTT stuff. I currently utilize a Joggler there running Squeezeplayer connected to an amplifier / speakers. ...

Re: 2020 Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2021!!!
So we are now in 2021.
Yeah here by Chicago it is quiet some; a bit sub dued. Next year it will be better.
It's nice to see activity on the forum here. My old Jogglers continue to work just fine here. Not much tinkering with them lately cuz they just work.

Personally here just add the WiFi information on the Squeezeplayer GUI.
