Re: Another find :-)

If VT300 means DEC then it would be VT300 series rather than a particular model. The mount for the screen looks unusual to me but the keyboard looks like a DEC one. VT330 (etc) monochrome async dumb terminal - some had 2 async ports (and could split screen) other had special proprietary DEC protocol...

Amazon re-invents the Joggler?

It might well be a touch screen. I have since found that there is a one line mention of touch in the technical spec ... but nothing in any of the videos using it.
I presume they want to avoid comparison with a regular tablet and are stressing the voice input (and 18 microphones).

Amazon re-invents the Joggler?

Now officially announced. Screen is not a touch (maybe it has touch - see later) one ... presumably why it is called "Echo Show". Available for pre-order (USA) and shipping in June. https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-MW46WB-Introducing-Echo-Show/dp/B01J24C0TI Big discount off announced list if ...

Amazon Echo ... with touch screen

Rumours for a while that Amazon has a touchscreen version of Echo on the way. A couple of reports yesterday appear to confirm it - but, as always, rumours do not mean it will happen. The picture does look like a very fat Openpeak 2nd gen device. Perhaps having a big case will give it better sound or...

We're there any live services still running?
E.g. Verizon / Swisscom

If yes then expect some more to appear on eBay

Re: SqpOS 3 - Perl issues

Perhaps the plugin is being a bit too picky. If it is listing a specific version that is required (near the top of one of the Perl files or perhaps in a configuration file) you could try changing it and then perform a local install. Clearly this would break again on a update - but it might get you g...

Re: Squeezeplay not working on Windows 10?

If it managed to write a log file it might give some clues. %TEMP%\stdout-SqueezePlay.txt and %TEMP%\stderr-SqueezePlay.txt Edit: To try it out I just installed Ralphy's build of SqueezePlay on Win10 and it worked fine for me. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?96573-SqueezePlay-for-Window...

If the automatic server discovery is not working then you can tell Squeezeplay where LMS is by adding that LMS as a remote library
