Re: Changing Default SSH Password for letmeinssh.

A quick and easy way to set your own username and password, once SSH is installed, is: echo "joggler:`cryptpw password`:0:0:Joggler:/:/bin/sh" >> /etc/passwd Where 'joggler' is the username, 'password' is the password and 'Joggler' is the name associated with the account. Obviously, you ca...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)

New version released; v1.24.

This version provides an option to register / link your Joggler to your mysqueezebox.com account under Settings > Registration. It also corrects a bug whereby SqueezePlay would start before the desktop was ready on Ubuntu systems, causing the panels to be drawn on top.

The Joggler should be able to read ext3 with no troubles by default... Not tried it, though.

Re: Lines/haze on Openpeak screen - gets no further

If that doesn't work then there is probably a fault with the internal memory. Even if you get problems at this point, all is not necessarily lost. I've had issues where a complete rewrite of a known good mmcblk0 image has not got my Joggler working again. As a blank slate, I ran this nice command f...

Re: SWF Manager Source

I don't think there are any .fla source files in there, but I did decompile this a while ago. I wanted to build a revised version that didn't rely on the squeezingtarkan directory, but then never got around to it. I think I still have the files somewhere. I'll see if I can dig them out over the week...

Great ! Let me know when you come up with something.....with or without the Test applet. // (Will try out and see if your version of Squeezeplay works with Netgear ReadyNAS Duo that supports Squeezebox) // I've not had chance to roll this into an update yet, but if you unzip and drop this applet: h...

Anyone knows how to stop the squeezeserver and restart it with debug infomation showing?

Thanks!
You can do it from the web interface, so far as I know. Go to http://<serverip>:9000 and there are options in the advanced section for logging IIRC.

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)

Thanks for the detail on this. As a short-term measure I may put that Test applet back in, which would at least give you one route for changing the account. I'll post back when I've managed to sort something out.

Re: Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick ) for the O2 Joggler.

That was the problem right enough - I have Chromium running with no extensions on the last.fm website & the cpu temp is 71deg!!! I've increased the limit to 75 deg & will see how that goes. What shocking cooling the Joggler must have. It is a bit of a weird setup, but sufficient for it's no...

Cheers! Any chance we could add a link to the FAQ on the sidebar? I tried editing MediaWiki:Sidebar, but no access. :)

Perhaps a new section between Navigation and Toolbox called 'Popular' or the like?

Re: Extending the LVDS cable

Not heard of anyone doing this, although somebody did replace the Joggler's screen with a larger one (1024x768, I think), which would have involved working on the cabling. Quite a straightforward job, IIRC, but I can't remember where I read it!

Thanks a lot - now the Squeezeplay is running......... .....BUT how do I access my mysqueezebox.com account from the Squeezelay on the Joggler. You can use the command:

Code: Select all

acpi -V
You'll probably need to install that first, mind.

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install acpi
I know you can read the temperature by cat -ing something too, but I can't remember what off the top of my head. :)

Re: Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick ) for the O2 Joggler.

I think it must be due to Chromium needing a lot of memory to run and the extra resources needed by some extensions tips it over the edge & triggers CPU throttling. Have you adjusted your thermal.psv setting in /boot/grub.cfg? I had this problem when I was setting up a Joggler last night, then ...

Re: wireless stability on linux

Fantastic - I've been building this myself for the previous kernel, but never got around to it on the new one. I noticed that the Joggler wouldn't connect to my Apple Time Capsule as an 802.11n device unless this 2.4.0.0/1 driver was installed, so speed always maxed out at 'g' rates. With this insta...

Re: Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick ) for the O2 Joggler.

I have three error messages when booting, ACPI, EFI and i8042.c. The system seems start up normally after that, but I don't know if there are some problems. The screenshot is attached, thanks. I get them too; Googled each line ages ago and they're not a problem. I also get 'usbhid 2-2:1.0: couldn't...
