Re: [RELEASE] XBMC for O2 Joggler

This looks excellent and will make a lot of people very happy!! With regards wifi management have you tried the Network Manger (this is what is currently used to enable wifi on RaspBMC); http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Add-on:Network-Manager Also with regards Squeezeplay, you could have a look ...

TV on the joggler?

Yes it was me, guilty as charged! Not an interesting release tbh mainly under the hood bug fixes.

The font hasn't changed size (unless the skin itself has also changed) but the buttons are bigger.

Re: TV on the joggler?

Does the menu not look like this? xbmc.jpg Just answered my own question, no it doesn't look like that! It looks like the 'x' and 'home' images have been omitted from the download  If you look closely on ther screen you will see a faint box in the bottom right, this is where the exit button sho...

Re: TV on the joggler?

Hi Spoyser. I used the onscreen + and - (didn't know what they were for before!) to reduce guide width to it's minimum (about 1hr?) and the font becomes just about readable, still very very small but not fuzzy anymore. I quickly changed to xeebo and also the joggler skin that Hawsey mentioned to se...

TV on the joggler?

@ilovemyjoggler

Is it unreadable at all guide widths?

Can you try at each guide width (change using the plus and minus on the toolbar or via the settings page) and confirm at what guide widths it is okay (if any!)

Re: TV on the joggler?

You can also do this with the re-touched skin: xbmc.jpg Although I would recommend the latest version of the skin as it has a fix for some missing scrollbars which are useful on the Joggler, and a fix for the add-on shortcut tab appearing when you have no items in your library. http://code.google.co...

Re: TV on the joggler?

Being able to keep a playing channel in view whilst reading the EPG is brilliant - and may be taken for granted by users of other EPGs. My first digibox had that functionality but now, sadly, neither my TV nor my new HD digibox do. If I want to bring up the EPG on both these devices, the picture is...

Re: TV on the joggler?

Yes I've been meaning to fix that little "feature" for a while now, it's caught me out a few times (I usually think it is 'cos I've bust something!) LOL The latest version has a ton of new functionality, most of which is described here: http://forums.tvcatchup.com/showthread.php?8832-New-X...

TV on the joggler?

Just to let you know latest version of TVCatchup EPG is now available, complete with 24 Olympic channels! As mentioned this now has a Force Touch Screen setting which along with the Show Mouse Controls should be enabled on the Joggler. Biggest difference in this mode is that one click of a program u...

TV on the joggler?

If you are plugging the stick directly into the Joggler I don't think a powered hub will help (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong), therefore I would try a new USB stick as it definitely sounds slower than it should be.

Re: TV on the joggler?

It is still incredibly slow to load (I probably expect way to much speed) don't know if this can cause crashing. However, every app is very slow to load so I don't think this is specifically a tvcatchup issue. I will be trying a different usb and also mint (once I get my act together and get ahold ...

Re: TV on the joggler?

No worries, I've just realized there is no volume control in the Touched skin either so TBH I wouldn't bother with it. I get the impression the Touched skin was really designed only for iPhones and iPads rather than touch screens in general. Shame really 'cos I think it suits the Joggler more that t...

Re: TV on the joggler?

Good news, I've tried both skins and they work a treat (IMO Touched seems more responsive but they are both very nice to use on the Joggler) so if they can be added to the main distros that would be great. https://github.com/xbmc/skin.touched/ http://code.google.com/p/jezzxbmc/downloads/detail?name...

Re: TV on the joggler?

I've now had a play around with the OSD and it works well. I love the themes too and have changed from the 'default' to the 'blue-alt' one. TVCatchup is a thing of beauty on the ATV2 and is now one of my top 3 XBMC addons after iPlayer and 4oD. Glad you like it! I'm too disorganised to keep tabs on...

Re: TV on the joggler?

Buzz, just found this too:

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?ti ... pid1072360

Do you think you would get chance to try it (or the original)?

If they work it would be sweet if you could add it (them) to your distro.

Re: TV on the joggler?

It is definately worth a try, I haven't got my iPad in front of me but I can't think of anything that needs gestures, in fact gestures don't appear to work in Confluence any more either in the iPad (they did work before Eden). Mind you the skin does need a right click for context menu stuff, would a...

Re: TV on the joggler?

It says to install the skin from the add on manager, which I believe is now built in to xbmc. But unfortunately it is only installed by default on iDevices :-( I can easily copy it off my iPad but I have no idea how I would then get into onto the Joggler, (I'm a windows person for my sins :-) ) It ...
