Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
You beat me to it fraserm... Thanks for the update roobarb. I get similar errors about not updating binaries because already upto date. And the screen savers seemed messed up. I also have the Digital Clock (Black) and it just shows black text (on usual background) along the left hand edge of the scr...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
Ahh, ok. When I use "Web Control" from LMS, I can see that the actual URL of the stream I was playing is:
http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?id= ... b7dc6f7717
File format: MP3
Bitrate: 32kpbs CBR

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
I am running squeezeplay under ubuntu. If I search for Talksport under "Internet Radio" it plays ok (says stream is from tunein). How do you enter a specific URL for a stream? I can then try your above stream.

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
That's great. Thanks guys. I think I needed the space before the "{". Now running with the simple asound.conf and will see how it goes.

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
No luck with asound.conf. I tried the above, then without the colons which I think were not needed. In each case, the screen just goes blank when I runup squeezeplay.

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
@johnnygal I have got the same issue with last build as I had forgotten to edit asound.conf after update. Try to use simple asound.conf...it should fix your problem... @Andy Now, v7.7.2 works like a charm ;) Thanks. What is the 'simple' asound.conf? I can see a asound.conf_presqp in the /etc direct...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
However, one issue I have is that after a while of uptime, usually when the player is "off", on resuming the playback the sound goes weird. The sound seems to keep repeating itself several times before moving on to the next part of the audio track and repeating that several times too. The...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
At last! I found time to make an update! Would appreciate some testing on Ubuntu systems with this one; seems to work for me, but I've changed my build system (actually using an older compiler now, but it better matches the native OS). It may just be my imagination, but the performance of the UI se...

Hi Pete,
When you say turn off the screen remotely, is that programmatically or interactively?
Thanks,
John

Re: ICS X86 Source Out!
Just open it with any editor e.g. notepad, wordpad, vim. It's the grub.cfg file. It currently has lang=zh. Change the zh to en. Windows probably doesn't have any default program assigned to .cfg files. Open your editor, then goto File->Open and browse to the grub.cfg file.

Re: ICS X86 Source Out!
Hi all. I've been trying to get ICS to work, but I think I must be doing something stupid as its not working. I've downloaded both the "Easy_to_use_package_Usbdisk(ICS).zip" and the "ICS_Joggler_4.0.3_Alpha.zip" files from the mporting website. From what I've read in this thread...

Re: Home Automation Hub
Yep, got one of these about 18 months ago, I think when the project was in it's infancy. Other commitments/interests took over and I never really put it to any use other than playing about. I will probably get back to it at some point. It's good to see that it is still an active project as there are...

Re: PSU for joggler
I'm going to order 3 of the first item I linked. They deliver next day, so I'll order for a friday or monday delivery when I know I'll be home all day. They've been known to work for the member david_f1976, but I'll also post my findings. Hi Mevi, Have you got the new PSUs yet? If so, are they work...

Re: Boot from second usb device?
Cheers. After I edited the grub.cfg it still booted from the internal usb stick. Then I realised I had the external usb stick connected via a hub. Once I plugged it straight into the side of the joggler, it worked ok and booted from that stick. It even boots from the external one by default, without...

Re: Boot from second usb device?
ok, I see the grub.cfg on the internal BOOTV13 slice.
The contents are:
set timeout=0
menuentry "Generic Linux" {
set root=(hd0,1)
linux /vmlinuz root=/dev/sda2 acpi=force ro idle=halt
initrd /initrd
}
Is it just a case of changing it to /dev/sdb2 and hd1,1?

Re: Boot from second usb device?
Hi mickchip, Thanks for the reply. Where will the grub.cfg get loaded from? I have not created one unless there is already one on one of the boot devices already? I have the Stephen Ford UNR OS loaded onto the internal USB stick. I loaded a clean ubuntu onto the external USB port boot. At no point h...
