Re: Enabling USB Soundcard without PnP

To enable external USB sound card you need to ensure that the pcm.default! section of your /etc/asound.conf files looks like this:

pcm.!default {
type hw
card 1
}

Re: You Tube App

I think I read on the old forum that it was something to do with adverts. Either way, it cannot be fixed. Is that a fact or opinion? Give that the app can easily be decompiled, the YouTube API is available, and there are already loads of SWF YouTube players available surely it should be possible to...

Re: You Tube App

I have done a google search on the error "Selected video cannot be played. It may be removed or restricted" and there is only one hit and it is on this forum. That and the poor grammar of the error suggest to me that it is the joggler app generating this error not YouTube, also many of the...

Re: BBC iPlayer/Live for stock OS - FIXED JERKY PLAYBACK

You are following the old installation guide. The new guide is available here: http://www.jogglerwiki.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=129 Although the only difference in the installation is that there is no longer a app.cgi file so you don't need to the the chmod +x app.cgi line! The chmod +x iPla...

You Tube App

Does anyone know what the problem with the You Tube app is, I was thinking of decompiling it and seeing if it could be fixed but it would be useful to know what is causing the problem in the first place.

Re: BBC iPlayer/Live for stock OS - FIXED JERKY PLAYBACK

Yes you can install both at the same time, although tbh the one that installs with pnp suffers from stuttering and jerky playback so I would recommend uninstalling that one anyway.

Re: BBC iPlayer/Live/Podcast/Categories Player - UPDATED Jun

@darrenkellum To be honest what you decribe is usually due to the joggler dropping the internet connection, I believe this is a known issue with the Jogglers wifi drivers. The driver pack installed by gforums pnp is supposed to update the wifi driver to overcome this, although in my experience it st...

Re: BBC iPlayer/Live/Podcast/Categories Player - UPDATED Jun

@Ben I have just looked in the iPlayer.cgi file and there appears to be a duplicated line in it (although it doesn't seem to affect my install), can you delete the very last line, the line that starts .tango -w:30 -h:30 and ends & (If there is only 1 line like this DO NOT delete it) Then try inc...

Re: BBC iPlayer/Live/Podcast/Categories Player - UPDATED Jun

@gegs

Thanks for finding that, turned out to be a bug in the JogTools scroll panel libray, if you notice all the scroll panels show the same behaviour.

I have now fixed the bug and there is a new version available to download (in fact the main.swf is the only file changed)

Re: BBC iPlayer/Live/Podcast/Categories Player - UPDATED Jun

@Utakos
To update simply install over the top of the previous version.

@nigelh
The icon in the top right (looks like a power off button), should go back.

@stephen m
Sounds like you entered the tag contents incorrectly, can you post the output of this command:
cat media/appshop/applications.xml

Re: How to delete the pnp?

To remove just Squeeze Server:

Open up the PNP web front end in a browser (enter the IP address in the address bar) then select the "Install Apps".

Then select "View Details" for Squeeze Server, then select "Uninstall"

Re: Set Joggler IP address - possible?

Don't know how to fix IP but with some routers (I have a BT Homehub) you can name devices based on mac address which means you shouldn't then need to know the IP address. I have mine named joggler1 joggler2 and jr, so in telnet I can just type open joggler1 and it will connect regardless of IP addre...

Re: Increasing the sound?

I second what gegs says, in fact the USB sound card I have looks identical to that one!

I have the output of mine going into a Sony Gigajuke and without the USB soundcard the Gigajuke had to be whacked up to 50 to be audible, with the USB sound card a volume of 20 is more than adequate!

For those of you experiencing audio cracking when playing ondemand streams you need to ensure that the pcm.default! section of your /etc/asound.conf files reads like this: pcm.!default { type hw card 0 } or if using an external USB card: pcm.!default { type hw card 1 } If i...

Re: BBC iPlayer/Live/Podcast Player for stock OS

@Infinite Element I'm afraid the audio crackling seems to be down to individual Jogglers (hardware at a guess), I have 2 Jogglers and neither crackle, my friend has one which does :-( From feedback on the application it seems that most Jogglers do not crackle. I have looked into setting the max_csta...
