Re: "Mycroft" using Ubuntu Snappy any use to us??
Very interesting. Looks like other people have been asking the question for other lightweight x86 devices : http://askubuntu.com/questions/622662/where-is-the-32-bit-ubuntu-snappy-core-image Seems that the Intel NUC releases may be the closest : http://betanews.com/2016/02/10/canonical-ubuntu-core-x...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
Hi BuZz I really appreciate all the great work and support you've given to the Joggler community for several years now. You've helped to make Jogglers far greater than they were ever originally intended. I have your builds running 24/7 and it amazes me just how solid they are, even with the flakey d...

Re: Question relating to wireless / wired connection
Hi Pete I've used a joggler as an AP many times and in different ways. Most recently was as a long-range wifi repeater. I can use community wifi and i wanted to see how well a cheap 2.4GHz 24+ element beam, worked. I used a TP link WN722 usb wifi dongle with the beam attached for the uplink and the ...

Re: Touchscreen event trouble
I don't use the joggler touchscreen at all, but have played a bit. I don't think the Jogglers touch screen is that great, and I get miffed at putting grease marks all over the screen. I use the keyboard most of the time. Anyway, some of these may shed some light : Not ubuntu, but talks about calibra...

Re: SSD experiments
Very nice! I would suggest also to upgrade the Realtek NIC with firmware as it is naked. That said once you do this you can do a remote suspend / WOL to the Joggler (in linux). Pete This sounds very interesting. Do you have some more details ? Going to experiment with POE soon, so these features wo...

Re: help!xubuntu can not boot to Desktop
Hi namco223 and welcome to JogglerWiki... Not been on for a while, so my reply may be a bit rusty :D I've not seen the messages your getting before. Could be a bad write to the stick. Try downloading the ext4 version and using that. I have tried the f2fs briefly, and while it is potentially better f...

Pete Interesting comments. Some of the people considered to be the earliest hackers were doing interesting things with phones, this is an interesting read : Esquire phone phreaking article from 1971 http://kottke.org/10/09/phone-phreaking-1971 and some of the groups/magazines : Phrack - Wikipedia, t...

Re: Atari 520 ST rescue party
I had an amiga, but I borrowed an atari st a couple of times and was quite impressed. If you've got a way to write 3.5" disks, I think you could download images from the net and make some bootable disks. But I've seen adaptors for ST's and Amiga's that let you use modern flash memory as an alte...

Re: Dead?
Thanks for the info I tried this out but it didn't work. I had some USB speakers attached and the just keep clicking as if they are being power cycled every half second or so. Also you can see the green light inside the joggler going on and off. Almost like it is stuck in a very short reboot cycle....

Re: I2C Bus Hardware question?
Yep thats the kind. Did a search on ali and found this for $5 : http://www.aliexpress.com/item/1sets-New-Arrival-USB-Logic-Analyze-24M-8CH/32550689296.html You need some probes/test clips to go with this. How about 10 for $1 : http://www.aliexpress.com/item/10pcs-Test-Hooks-Clips-for-Logic-Analyzers...

Re: I2C Bus Hardware question?
This is the original : https://www.saleae.com/ but I bought a clone from AliExpress for less than $10. If your buying a clone you need to get some probes too, more then likely and there is quite a range to choose from. Re: I2C Bus Hardware question?
Very interesting and good work... So with your RTC module attached to the i2c bus on the Joggler, do the values your reading at addresses 0x18, 0x34, 0x4c and 0x69 have some meaning and are, sort of, what you would expect ? Two are the value of the address being read and the other two 'UU' are maybe...

Did anyone get the source code for SeaBios ?
I remember the guy who made it left sort of abruptly and last talked about having issues setting up some sort of a table to get monitors of different sizes to work. But I may be wrong and it was a while ago.

Re: Time has lost 8 minutes
Joggler own system clocks are not very reliable and do drift a lot. If you are technically minded it should be possible to update the Jogglers system clock from a time server intermittently. This would normally be done with the NTP service or could be manually initiated with the NTPUpdate command. G...

The component you've highlighted h5007nl looks like it has a collection of transformers inside and it appears that it can get hot, from the datasheet. eu.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Pulse/H5007NL/?qs=EKu32SdDin9FBxETK8sXDg%3D%3D productfinder.pulseeng.com/products/datasheets/HC500.pdf But if a componen...

This area is quite interesting. I've searched and haven't found much on open source solutions. I found a masters project from a US university that looked interesting, but development wasn't continued.
