Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & sqpOS)

Yes it's exactly what I meant: I was too goofy to find it and the your tip does exactly what I need :)
I didn't browse all the menus so I missed this, now I changed the screen timeout, the background, the autobright and it's ok!
Sorry again!

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & sqpOS)

Nono I mean autobright depending on the light sensor, I went around menus but I didn't see this feature, so I put mine on it! There are so many tools on this Distribution that I'm getting lost just to play some internet radio!!! Thank ILMJ!

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & sqpOS)

Hello everybody, I added to the rc.local the script I created to autoset brightness, doing this the SpeezePlayOS automatically sets the brightness, AFAIS this feature was not present on the image isn't it? Anyway you only have to add the "rls" binary (obtained compiling the readlightsensor...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & sqpOS)

I know Jimbob, there are a lot of ways, "Hacking" it we can also add a USB port soldering four cables is not a problem, my thoughts were about a "virgin" Joggler, never opened!

Re: Quick Linux distro for cluod.. xpud, never seen?

Hello I just played with it and I got something good. I started from a nice port of slitaz and did some test with rootfs, the result is I have a (not yet full working) xPUD that boots in few seconds and it can fit on 64MB usb drive :) If someone is interested, feel free to download this: https://www...

Re: New to the Joggler - can't connect to the internet

Some router/ap uses, like Gegs' suggestion, a mac address matching, if you have something like this, you can connect to the network locally but you cannot go to Internet. (I have a HUAWEI 3G Wireless Gateway and there's this option).

Quick Linux distro for cluod.. xpud, never seen?

Hi my friends, times ago I tryied to use xPud http://www.xpud.org It's not that bad, very simple, very light. I'm trying to use it with Joggler but at the moment I'm not very lucky... the system boots it seems to load something because my USB drive led blinks but... I get only a ugly black screen......

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & sqpOS)

Incidentally, I found that when I updated the busybox on the OpenPeak-ed OS, it broke networking DHCP functionality so anyone fiddling with this needs to be careful (i.e. back up your old busybox first) hi I had the same issue and I found the problem is the "x" parameter of udhcpc. The ne...

Re: Linux autobrightness

Infact, RPI mounts a ARM!!! So theory says we could run Haiku on Jog without problems! At the moment I took a look to the live cd, it's not that bad! Anyway my goal is to have a very very minimal distro with X session (a browser is enough for me). I'm going OT now, I can suggest you all to take a lo...

Re: Linux autobrightness

Hi Gegs, mee to played with BeOS times ago, I had a old pc with it installed! Why do you say there's an Haiku/ARM so we might see it on Joggler? Jogglers hasn't ARM processor, but a i386, so, theorically and creating a properly boot procedure, the current Haiku could work on our O2J! Did I misunders...

Re: Linux autobrightness

Roobarb, I used the seq following your suggestion, I'm not satisfied at all... this is my code: #!/bin/bash ACTUAL=`cat /sys/devices/platform/openframe-bl/backlight/openframe-bl/actual_brightness` while true do L=`/opt/bin/rls` LNEW=`echo $L/25|bc` if [ $ACTUAL -lt $LNEW ]; then STEP="1"; ...

Re: TCP port 7547?

I can see with updated busybox and netstat command is child of the process "tango" (the graphic interface), at the moment I wasn't able to find credentials around the file system, I'll look better!

TCP port 7547?

Hi
I was playing with on of my Joggler with default OS and I discovered an open 7547 port. It's a web port with authentication... does anyone know anything about it? Googling I found only O2 broadband devices with this port!
