Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

Some advice please. Have installed SQPOS onto a 64Gb USB flash stick and used gparted to create a large fat32 partition. That all went smoothly and have used the web interface to select usb0 as the media store. 3 Queries: 1. What is the best way to transfer music onto the usb. On my windows7 compute...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 2) for OpenFrame

Smashing - that did the trick and both jogglers now have different MACs and work fine.
Many thanks to all for invaluable advice.

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 2) for OpenFrame

Quick search looks like this might help.. http://www.jogglerwiki.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=21285#p21285 OK I tried this - replaced the sqp_JogglerNetwork.sh with the one suggested. Rebooted the joggler but the situation hasnt changed. Both jogglers still have the same MAC address. The topic referen...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 2) for OpenFrame

Exactly this, I've had exactly the same issue. I ended up just doing a 2nd fresh image, but there is a file somewhere you can edit to change the MAC if you'd prefer. Suspect you've cloned the made up MAC address so the server sees them as the same machine... Sounds like you have identified the prob...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 2) for OpenFrame

I have a curious problem. Installed SQpos to a usb stick. Edited fstab to point to my Zyxel NSA325 Updated the server to the latest version. All working wonderfully on my computer room joggler. I have another joggler in the bedroom so made a disc image using Win32diskimager and wrote the image to an...

Re: Now Tv

NowTV arrived this morning. Installed, made sure any subscription cancelled and RARPlex sideloaded in around 10 minutes. I've just about rejigged media library on Zyxel NAS to be Plex-compatible too so all looking good. Bargain for a simple catch up and media streaming gadget! What rejigging did yo...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 2) for OpenFrame

Many thanks for the information. It has been running with absolutely no problems for over a week now. Terrific work! Just got one of the ex-betting shop jogglers without stands and SqueezeplayOS is working wonderfully on it. The removed stand may cause some overheating - opinions differ as to how mu...

Re: Check these - BACK AGAIN!

Just got one - installed SqueezeplayOS and working perfectly. Has anyone come up with a way of utilising the perspex mount to fit some kind of stand. Been wracking my brains but cant figure out a neat way of doing it. Also are there any noticeable overheating effects from having no metal stand attac...

Re: My cunning plan with Squeezeplay OS

ok, i found that adding static lines to /etc/network/interfaces seems to work, and it persists on boot which is good! I tried an external drive just for laughs, cos it has all my music on it and I wanted to see if internal memory would get full. It is one of those portable wallet disks, and the USB...

So I installed SqueezeplayOS internally, version 1.09 and now it works fine. Wether it was the move to internal or the updated version I dont know. I will tr...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & sqpOS)

I am running SqueezePlay on native OS. Airplay has been installed and turned on. However on my ipad2 with the latest ios7 I am not seeing airplay as an option in the control panel. Does the airplay server need updating for ios7? The portion of sqpOS that emulates an AirPort Express does indeed need...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler

If you flick up from the bottom of the screen at any time the Airplay switch should be there. Indeed I have flicked many times and Airplay switch there is none. On the joggler running squeezeplayOS updated I have reinstalled airplay, stopped it, started it so it says it should now be operating but ...

In winSCP there is an option in SCP/Shell called Shell.
It is set to default but there is a pull down menu and one can select sudo su -

Does that give root access?
As a Linux total newbie I'm not sure.
