Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised

While typing; been playing a bit with ethernet. Here is the NIC card asking for a DHCP address (disabled the WLAN card). I have it disabled. If I enable the internal NIC; it just shows that its disconnected. If I connect an ethernet cable to it; it locks up the Joggler. 14:22:05 dhcpd DHCPREQUEST fo...

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised

This one would maybe fit in the WLAN part of the Joggler eh? http://www.kingspec.com/solid-state-disk-products/ssd-esata-slcj.htm Here's an 8 Gb one for $24 USD. Found another one on Ebay for $21 USD. http://www.ebay.com/itm/KingSpec-8GB-USB-eSATA-MLC-SSD-Solid-State-Flash-Drive-/120686483497?pt=LH_...

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised

Dan, What about a small USB to IDE drive inside of the Joggler instead? I've seen the SSD's with the USB ports on them; not sure how they work though. I had an easier time with my USB to CF adaptor and the USB to my 1.8" IDE drive than with the variety of USB memory stick(s) that I have playing...

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised

Good news verg0. Did you boot the image from a USB hub or just directly from the Joggler USB port? I do not have any ideas on utilizing the PATA zif port other than what Buzz put on the Joggler Wiki. I do have all of the "pieces" required though as I purchased them to play with the Asus 90...

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised

Just tried to change the mac addresses on both network devices and disabled the WLAN card. Its still an issue on reboot just about when loading the video drivers (I think?). I'll just take the Joggler apart; been wanting to do that now for a couple of weeks. Purchased a very small miniature toggle s...

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised

I have another setup which is closer to 8 Gb that I have removed the WLAN drivers - should maybe remove the USB stick inside of the Joggler; that might work better? I noticed a big difference in speed between the USB memory stick and the USB 1.8" 20Gb Hard drive. Noticible but not enough to mak...

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised

Uploading it now; geez; there are no sites out there to be able to upload a gb file. Playing some more found out that last EFI setup was never seeing a USB hub for whatever reason. So included and switched to the old EFI stuff which does see the hub. It almost looks like its looking first at the int...

I think maybe the NTFS partition wasn't being seen fast enough for the new EFI boot to work?

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised

I was able to get the latest image to work. Initially it wasn't seen by the Linux program gparted. I was though able to see the partitions (corrupt) with a windows program. I resized them making them smaller; then larger; then I could see them just fine. I then extracted the data from the NTFS parti...

Thanks Dan. Yes back to having the original OS. Put the image on a 4Gb stick. Boots fast but still the same with no touch screen.

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised

I "unbricked" it as follows in case anyone else wants to know: I downloaded http://o2.openpeak.co.uk/firmware/app-o2flash-26635.8686-S3-f1-reimage.tgz and ftpd it to a folder on the Ubuntu stick then in Mac terminal from that folder - tar xvfz app-o2flash-26635.8686-S3-f1-reimage.tgz sudo ...

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised

Hello Dan,

The image still doesn't boot to touch. Its fast though; just that the touchscreen isn't working. Looks like I've managed to semi brick my Joggler. It boots to the sticks; but not longer to the O2 Joggler menu.; just hangs at the O2 logo.

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised

I'm about 3/4 of the way thru the download. I rebooted the previous image a few times hoping that the touch drivers would load; but no luck here. It is fast. It won't boot though from a hub; gets to the beginning of the boot and states bad boot.ini and ntdetect.com. But by itself on the USB port its...

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised

Sounds good Dan! I was able to get the previous image to work by reducing the size of the NTFS partition. For whatever reason it was writing it one sector too big. So with though I still don't see the touch screen working. It does boot fast and I see some sort of touch screen configuration icon on t...
