How to get around 'stock' O2 registration screen?

Hi all (possible not totally related to PnP II, apologies if so) As an interim measure, and after 'up'grading one of my Jogglers to the latest O2 firmware, I decided to have a look at PnP II, with a view to later moving to PnP III. Firstly, I reverted to stock O2 firmware using the reflash tools fro...

Re: could Joggler boot from 2nd USB/SDcard port if I fitted

Unless you use the wifi, you can swap that out for a usb stick. My shaky hands and poor soldering skills were not sufficient to get a working 3rd USB port, but if you are blessed with steady hands and a fine tipped soldering iron, you can keep the wifi and hide a USB stick inside. Full instructions...

Yeah, but my granddaughter (3y.o.) likes to play with the Joggler ... anything like that wired up probably wouldn't stay connected for long...

could Joggler boot from 2nd USB/SDcard port if I fitted one?

Hi all I have a couple of Jogglers which I use mainly for the radio app, iPlayer, Squeezeplayer etc. What with the recent Firmware 'upgrade' I have been thinking of alternatives to the openpeak OS - maybe Android, for instance. I gather this runs from a USB drive, plugged into the single USB port on...

Re: O2: Updating O2 Joggler on 30th April

Can someone give me an idea what the current position is re. overheating and throttling when running Android on a joggler? I think you'd be better off asking in one of the Android threads, so the right people get to see it. :) Sure - I wasn't planning to go any more off-topic ;-o Cheers Jon N

Re: O2: Updating O2 Joggler on 30th April

That's great, thanks, I'll give that a go for now ;-) Actually, I'm having second thoughts ... if i can ensure my 'Joggler #1' doesn't get updated, then I might use this as an opportunity to try Android on my newly-updated Joggler#2. Can someone give me an idea what the current position is re. over...

My reflash tool should still work fine to go back to O2 version from the OP one. It'll work forever if you hang on to the image file it downloads.
That's great, thanks, I'll give that a go for now ;-)

Re: O2: Updating O2 Joggler on 30th April

Well, neither of my Jogglers got updated automatically ... so I used the supplied image to 'update' one ... and so far am pretty unimpressed. As others have said, it removes most of what is useful and adds stuff I don't want or need. I plan on adding the /etc/hosts patch to prevent my main joggler b...

Re: o2 app radio stations stopped working

Hi there (apologies for the delayed replay... I've been out of the room ;-) ) Did you happen to faff about with a config file that was meant to reduce crackly audio (as seen in the BBC iPlayer thread)? I notice I accidentally applied a wrong config, and all internet stations claimed they couldn't co...

Re: o2 app radio stations stopped working

Hi again Perhaps you were still using using the OpenPeak app? Try restoring the Joggler app first, then run the commands to change the .SWF file. it's running the radio-feeds app now - at least I assume so, there are shedloads of pages of stations, as you say in the 'wrong' categories. Maybe I didn'...

Re: o2 app radio stations stopped working

Hi there Yes, you should get a whole load more stations in each (now incorrectly named) category. If not, then you're not opening the correct app from your Joggler. OK, thanks. I did a cursory look through the station lists and they looked similar (ie. unchanged). Certainly, the categories appeared ...

Re: o2 app radio stations stopped working

Hi there Does the RadioFeeds-provided station list work for you? http://www.radiofeeds.co.uk/joggler/feedaaaaaaaaaaa.asp Is that the difference between this .swf file and, say, the 'base' app - that it uses a different radio feed? Anyway, I tried it and no difference ;-(. I also did a bit of experim...

Re: o2 app radio stations stopped working

I have had no problems with mine, I don't use it much mind you but just testing now and all seem to be working. I don't have an o2_radio directory in media/app-cfg It seems to be working now, grr... I seem to have ended up with what you have, except that I now have an empty /media/app-cfg/o2_radio:...

Re: o2 app radio stations stopped working

Hi Max This didn't work for me, I'm afraid ;-(. Just to be clear, there is a jogContent.xml file in /media/app-cfg/o2_radio, and a link to this in /openpeak/gui/apps/o2_radio, yes? # cd /openpeak/gui/apps/o2_radio # ls -lrt -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7410 Jun 26 2009 icon.swf -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 1715...
