Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)
Error. :-( This is what came up in cmd prompt window. Tried the dmesg command and you can see the error message. Googled -6 but couldn't see anything. Start Quote root@joggler:~# mount -a [mntent]: warning: no final newline at the end of /etc/fstab mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)
Just two more questions - can you see the folder from Windows? Do you know the file system setting for the nas (cifs/samba, ntfs)? Quotes from a generic Lenovo pdf that I found. I hope these are the answers you are looking for: The LifeLine software relies on Samba to work in a Windows environment....

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)
You have to 'mount' the NAS music folder on the linux system. What NAS? At the very least to get started you need to know the NAS ip address, the folder location on the NAS, and whether the folder is password protected ... You also need SSH installed on your usual computer to be able to make the ed...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)
Hi Guys Not been around for a while, and apologies if there is a thread on this. If there is, please point me to it. I have changed my NAS with all my music on, and can't seem to find a way to install LMS on it like I did with the old one. So I've set up a Joggler running LMS on an external USB driv...

Re: Couple of dead Jogglers up for grabs
Hi Daniel
Sorry about the late reply. I thought I had email notification set up for any replies, but if I have, then something went very wrong.
That's fine. If you want to give me your address, I will sort out delivery.
Cheers
Jon

Couple of dead Jogglers up for grabs
Before anyone gets too excited, these are "based"around a couple of those betting shop Jogglers that were up for sale a while back. They have no mains adapter. They have no heatsink-cum-stand. One still has the two perspex blocks firmly glued to the back. The other one has had 1.5 blocks r...

Re: Running LMS on a dedicated Joggler
Cheers Castella Looking seriously at the Netgear ReadyNAS RN102, because: 1. It's around the £100 2. It gets good expert and user reviews 3. The HDD's from my old NAS are compatible (once formatted) 4. My son has an earlier version (Duo), and has been very happy with it 5. Seems to be relatively qui...

However, I'm back for further help / advice / pointing in the right direction threadwise :?: :?: . I've been running a number of Jogglers (some Squeezeplay dedicated, some within ...

Re: Check these - Now Back
OK, mine arrived today. :D Just reflashing with roobarb's 30300 to be followed by latest pnpIII. All appears good at the moment.:D :D One has arrived without the custom mounts, but the other one has them. Has anyone found a way of getting these off? That was some adhesive that was used! I'm struggli...

Re: Check these - Now Back
Still waiting for mine. I have enough half-working/dead units/spares to get both of them into properly working units. But happy to hear that others who saw this deal before me are happy with theirs.

Re: 24/96 Squeezeplay and External USB DAC
Hi there Not sure if this is the right thread. I have SqPOS installed on internal memory of one of my jogglers and was feeding sound out through the headphone socket into an old powered sub/home theatre set up using twin phono inputs. The hub had a bad hum, but in addition I was getting intermittent...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler
I have set the wireless IP address of my Squeezeplay OS Joggler manually (it survives a reboot) by Putty-ing in and typing sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces and changing the contents of the file to auto lo iface lo inet loopback auto wlan0 iface wlan0 inet static address 192.168.2.97 <-- my chosen ...

Re: How much damage have I done to my joggler
Hi Jimbob Many Many thanks!! There is not just hope, there is life! This joggler has been renamed Phoenix. I was able to use the WiFi card port to install roobarb's Squeezeplay onto the internal memory, and then put it back after installation. Everything has booted up fine, and device is streaming v...

How much damage have I done to my joggler
Hi there I am afraid that my incessant jiggling with my jogglers might have caused its first casualty. I now have a faulty USB port where the internal plastic piece has snapped off and which has meant me having to use tweezers to straighten the 4 metal strips that are now flopping about inside, whic...
