Re: Need to remove PnP, please help!!!
I think you can actually edit the relevant file from Windows, just open it in Notepad & add the relevant line given on the Ubuntu download page. But you may not even need to do that, just try it & see if it runs OK. I may upload the relevant file later & you can just paste it into the ap...

Re: Need to remove PnP, please help!!!
aren't we bad for jargon? Download the disk image & unzip it with 7zip or similar. Download Win32diskimager & unzip that too. Open the Win32DiskImager folder you have just unzipped & click on Win32DiskImager.exe. Select your USB flash drive letter from the dropdown arrow. Then click on t...

Re: Need to remove PnP, please help!!!
I've previously had problems doing it this way with Windows 7 - I can't remember if it was the ext4 or btrfs partitions I couldn't shift but flashing the bootsector is definitely easier & quicker!

Re: Need to remove PnP, please help!!!
The only caveat to trying out lots of different images is that it's a bit of a pain to get Windows to wipe all the partitions on the flash drive - it will see only the first (FAT32) partition & ignore the rest. I've uploaded an image that you can flash with Win32diskimager & will overwrite t...

Re: Need to remove PnP, please help!!!
http://joggler.exotica.org.uk/ubuntu/ Prob best to go for the btrfs compressed version. If you're running Windows just extract the image file using 7zip & write it to your flash drive using Win32diskimager http://launchpadlibrarian.net/26054051/win32diskimager-RELEASE-0.2-r23-win32.zip (you can ...

Re: Has my Joggler died?
oops, you're correct. The link was originally pointing to an uncompressed file in my Dropbox account. BuZz kindly took over the hosting but when I changed the link over I didn't spot that he had compressed the image file. So you'll need to uncompress it first.

Re: resizing windows in ubuntu
'fraid not, it's a recognised bug. One workaround is to login via remote desktop, hold down the Alt button & you can drag the hidden part of the window into view. But it's a PITA.

Re: Has my Joggler died?
First, use boot into Ubuntu from a USB stick and use gparted to check that you have exactly 980.5MB of unallocated space on the Joggler's internal memory. Anything less than this and you have a fault with the internal memory. Delete all partitions & click on the green tick. Next, close gparted, ...

You can also add Podcast Player as a Squeezeplay app - would that be any use?
EDIT - I just looked & there is now a Spotify app for Squeezeplay! So you should be sorted!

Opera Mobile 10.1 for Ubuntu
I've noticed that Chromium, Firefox & Opera make a lot of demands on the Joggler's titchy CPU & I have been experiencing CPU throttling due to overheating when using some graphics on flash-intensive sites (I raised the CPU thermal throttling threshold to 75 deg but haven't been brave enough ...

Re: Lines/haze on Openpeak screen - gets no further - FIXED!
If you want to recreate the internal partitions & restore each partition individually (e.g. if you have limited space on your USB stick) I've uploaded the partition table for the joggler to http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1107587/part_table To restore the partition structure, do this: sudo mkdir /backup...

Re: Lines/haze on Openpeak screen - gets no further
Well done! The Joggler's internal memory can be a bit ropy - I've personally had 2 Jogglers die because of this. You might want to consider running Ubuntu off a USB stick instead of the internal OS to preserve your Joggler. You can use Opera Mobile & Squeezeplay on Ubuntu & it's reasonably f...
