Not a problem, Dan.
I found pstools which can kill processes without any service dependencies and change the auto login password. Then added that password to the registry. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysi ... s/bb896649

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
It's been a long time since I've run a windows machine at home at this spec level. Very hazy memories of Windows 98SE and using defrag tools to get the page file on the outside sectors of the HDD platter. I've not needed a page file since about 2004! :D I ordered one of the 16GB Kingspec sticks - I ...

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
I made it a static size.... I don't know if there is an optimum size, so I just made the page file 1024- double the physical memory. Seems good.

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
I hoped the Lexar stick I have was quick enough for W2003 as it really is tiny. Barely big enough to grip it to remove it, like the Bluetooth adapters I've seen. I would have been happy to vnc in when needed.... Maybe with the next build it'll be acceptable so I can ditch the hub and keep things tid...

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
Thanks pete,
Looking at the top end flash sticks, like the Kingston USB 3 stick - the speeds on USB2 are around 30MBs read and write, compared to 80MBs USB 3. Price is about comparable to the kingspec, but I think I'll go with what I know works for others on the Joggler. Cheers.

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
Is the Kingspec SSD enough of a performance boost over a flash drive to justify the purchase? Can anyone vouch for the seller - I'm always a bit wary of overseas sellers. Cheers Looking at the quoted specs, the 8GB SSD is slightly slower than the flash drive I have now. The 16GB SSD is about 50% qu...

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
Great news about the new release, Dan.
Can I ask that Terminal Services is not removed for this build. I use it for killing processes when automating stuff. Oh yeah, and a password for the auto login. There's a pint in it for you.

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
To get my USB stick/hub/keyboard to work in harmony was really simple. I start the boot with just the USB stick in the hub - you might need to experiment with which port on the hub works best - THEN, after crcdisk.sys when the screen starts to spring into life, connect your other stuff to the hub. I...

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
Hi all, I still can't get either of the images to boot (at best, I still get 'fs0:xoj-ntldr is not recognized as an internal or external command'). This is the same any of my 4 USB sticks/sd card readers, with or without a USB Hub :( To enable me to rule-out the drive as being the problem, can some...

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
@mevi thinking of buying i zipad, would you be able to take a picture of your jogler sitting on it, as i think this would be awesome as a replacement to a usb hub, and if i can get one i am sure i can get the optical working lol Yeah, I guess if anyone can get it working....... :D The pictures are ...

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
@Dan.... Yes, it's a Zipad. Got it cheap off eBay and stuck a 120GB HDD ripped out of a dead xbox 360 inside with a cheap optical. I put it together with the sole intention of using it with the Joggler. Works OK with my acer aspire one when I need an optical drive. It's just no good for Linux, but l...

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
Thanks Dan, I'll have another look through the folders on the desktop and report back. The HW acceleration app I found yesterday and used with no noticable difference in performance. :) Touch worked fine after i updated the driver. In fact, very little didn't work. This is a great job. It's been my ...

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
Hey, first post!! Hello everyone. I've been using the latest image for a day now. It's pretty slow on my 16GB Lexar 25MB/s memory stick. Ubuntu flies in comparison, but I really want to persevere with Windows as I don't really have the time to hack AND learn a different OS AND have a family. :D A fe...
