Black screen with no flashing lights inside? Sounds quite dead to me.
RIP Joggler.

Yes, the link to min.us on post #1 will show all the files available. You click the IMG or VHD you want and then the screen refreshes and you see a download button on the right. It's working for me right now, but when some have reported a file not found error, others AT THE SAME TIME were downloadin...

Re: 2 Jogglers - One boots XP One Doesn't
Strange that certain Jogglers won't play ball..... It's not a kludge unless duct tape is used.

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)
The hosting costs were back when I was using my own personal storage. The Minus hosting doesn't cost me anything, but it occasionally stops working for a bit with 'not found' errors and then comes back to life (someone PM me a week ago with the same problem) If it's still not working later today, dr...

Re: 2 Jogglers - One boots XP One Doesn't
I setup a scheduled task running as the SYSTEM user (as the command line window is hidden) to sync the time with wtime32 on my builds. I didn't use tclock to sync, just to display a nicer looking clock. I set the sync to run everyday from 1.1.2005 at 00:02am and 00:03am. Unless the Joggler is powere...

Re: Linux autobrightness
I've got a Linux DVD that Canonical sent me somewhere (I was STILL on dial up at the time) and I've had OSX Tiger on my old laptop once. Anyone heard of BeOS? I used that for a while at home. I try most things at least once, but Windows with all it's faults is a familiar friend... You know the kind ...

Re: Linux autobrightness
Well I bought my first Joggler about six months before I joined this forum, shortly after finding out that you could run Linux on it. The plan was that I set it up as a "desk clock" at work and learn Linux on it when the boss wasn't around on Fridays. Problem was they caught me tinkering t...

Re: Linux autobrightness
In Windows for Joggler, the brightness can be adjusted manually, which is really boring. I'm always impressed when Linux guys post, probably because I will forever be a Linux noob and it just looks so exotic. I worked in IT support for years.. DOS and Windows, SQL, hardware installs, that kind of th...

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)
Oh, that looks great! Good to see this getting use beyond the Joggler. I never expected that. USBoot should pick up new hardware on boot, but to keep the download size low, i didn't include extra generic drivers... I'm sure there are better XP drivers for the S6 though. Might be worth showing hidden...

The kids go to 'rock project', where they learn from professional musicians how to play rock and pop. A while back, they had people voting for their favourite tutor. The webpage worked on a desktop browser, but from a phone everyone got redirected to porn.

Re: 2 Jogglers - One boots XP One Doesn't
There was the original v1.0 bootloader which from the displayed text on screen, appeared to be very close to the XP ON MAC bootloader that it was based on and also credited that project on screen. I think there were a few others, i forget the version number Dan used for his groundbreaking first, but...

Re: 2 Jogglers - One boots XP One Doesn't
Ah, yes It's the early version of the bootloader that didn't support hubs. Dan and I kept it as an option as it knocks a chunk off the boot time. Seems to not to mind that int37 error, whatever it means. I had 5 Jogglers to test with, but they were mostly well behaved, no oddball versions of the har...

Re: 2 Jogglers - One boots XP One Doesn't
Pete's instructions on the thread are very clear and easy to follow. :) There is also instructions to unpatch Joggler versions of XP to run on SeaBIOS right near the end of the thread. One other thing..... are you using his foshiz v1 or v2? There are different versions of the EFI bootloader out ther...

Re: 2 Jogglers - One boots XP One Doesn't
Hmmm, that's interesting, just one Joggler. I HAVE seen that error, but it's sooooooo long ago that I can't remember what causes it. Now, have you changed anything on the internal storage on either Joggler? Is there a hub connected (you gotta use port 4). The modded bootloader is very choosy about s...

Re: Laptop battery explosion
There are so many dull and boring ways to go out, that anything with some kind of explosion or element of sheer terror has gotta be better, you know something that'll make the papers. ;P Like no one ever hears about the 100 or so people who choke to death on pen caps each year. Anyway, it's a dirty ...

Re: Laptop battery explosion
I'm sure that I read somewhere recently that Toyota don't use Li-ion batteries. After their huge accelerator pedal recall, where their cars could speed out of control and kill you, they probably wanted to make it very clear that their cars now won't burst into flames and kill you. The best car I eve...

Re: Best USB stick for Joggler?
Interesting to read about the different classes of SD card. I wonder if the devices page size and cluster alignment makes a difference to speed?.. I read up a little on this when I was looking into the format tool I posted about in off topic. I had a 3 year old 8G corsair voyager (10Mbs write) that ...

Beta Windows USB/SD FAT32 format tool
I got an email from the guys at Reboot.pro this morning that included news of a new Windows format utility to format USB sticks or SD cards to FAT32.... Designed to align clusters to page boundaries, it should reduce the number of erase/write cycles needed for small files and therefore improve small...

Re: Best USB stick for Joggler?
The HP format tool has managed to recover a scrambled stick that other disk utilities struggled with. In my experience, USB sticks give little or no warning. No slowdown, just suddenly you get read errors, corrupted files and then fails to format. I've only lost a couple this way, but it's for that ...
