Re: Mediaserver Debian Version
You can't play to a browser, if that's what you mean - you must choose a SB player to use.

Re: Mediaserver Debian Version
I always just set it to Do not defeat.
Like you, I've no idea what it does otherwise.

Definitely ... if you use the usb boot routine for other OS. Not sure, but some models disable the usb boot on first use. Take care.

Re: Mediaserver Debian Version
There's some confusion here, I think, between the LMS versions and Squeezeplay versions. Player versions are a 'mystery' to me - as far as I know there have been few updates. LMS has now progressed to 7.9.1 - the community version, which has a number of enhancements and fixes over the earlier versio...

Re: Mediaserver Debian Version
Sorry, I've not been very clear, I was just wondering quickly whether anyone new about the defeat option, if I could download the old 7.8 I'd just do that... I have LMS running on my synology NAS (Linux), which has a package, so there's nothing special to do - it's currently 7.7.3-113 When I did my...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Hi
It works well - the final step is to allow for selecting favourites & playlists .... that seems to be stalled for some reason.
Otherwise all the usual LMS commands work.
regards

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Very strange ... several reports that triode's spotify still works, despite the announcement that it would die.
So many variables that'll be difficult to pin down!

Surprised that your triode plugin still works, as it is no longer supported.
Spotty is the only plugin choice.

Google Music plugin for Squeezebox - help needed
There's a plugin for Google Music - which works if it's installed using the specialised package available for max2play. The general instructions for installing on Linux are here: https://squeezebox-googlemusic.github.io/squeezebox-googlemusic/ I followed these (without much comprehension!) for spqos...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Ahh , no good for me yet then . Yes I'm using Amazon music on the go as well but only have the free one with Prime , it's pretty good . Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk Been testing the alexa skill today. Good. Early days so lots to look forward to. Ran into a big problem initially as the plu...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame - open a port
Help needed !
I want to access LMS from outside the network.
How do I go about opening the appropriate port on sqpOS? Is there a firewall?
Need basic advice!

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
I cancelled my deezer sub (hardly ever used it) and switched to Amazon Music. The dev. is awaiting fixes to the LMS plugin by the author. I have the actual skill installed on Alexa, but it does nothing without the plugin .... I'll update when things get moving again. The first version is pre-pre-alp...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Yep. The hab-tunes skill is under development .... stalled for a while because of plugin bugs. I;ve found the tunein radio streams is okay - but useless if you try to access 'foreign' stations Amazon Music Unlimited is good = the Echo-only subscription doesn't work outside the UK - had to sign up fo...

Re: Question relating to wireless / wired connection
The holy grail is of course Alexa and LMS integration!
There's a project underway to achieve this - very early stage at the moment.

SqpOS 3 - Perl issues
I've run into big problems trying to install a LMS plugin. The plugin requires either Perl 5.12 or 5.20
Seems SqpOS has Perl 5.18
Any way to update Perl to 5.20 ?

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
You have to point squeezeplay at LMS.
Main menu - My Music - choose music location
