Re: PnP III: Enhance the standard OS - DOWNLOAD IT HERE!

Hello Ted6975 in answer to the :"The joggler doesn't respond to the files when USB is insterted or when insterted when Joggler reboots". I have had a few trial and error...."What the hell am I doing wrong" moments like that. Dont mean to go over the stuff you have tried, but have...

Re: PnP III: Enhance the standard OS - DOWNLOAD IT HERE!

Oh dear. This is an area I did not want to get to. Suppose I should check the Hardware section from now. I have already seen your post on the EFI chip swap and instructions. I have to re read your post here to completely get my novice brain around it. I did understand the Hot EFI chip swap, which so...

Re: PnP III: Enhance the standard OS - DOWNLOAD IT HERE!

Thanks again. I am going to follow that as soon as I get a USB booting again. (I had used G parted in mint on USB and followed guidance from this board). It appears that it now won't boot from USB. I had Mint and tried again to reflash both versions (because even though it did not get it to take the...

Re: PnP III: Enhance the standard OS - DOWNLOAD IT HERE!

Thanks Pete, but I have read and re read the threads on here and only ever used a Kingston brand new Data Traveller stick (two of them) totally fresh formatted. They had been unused before. The puzzling thing is that the Openpeak Restore key version reports "EFI format ok P2 format ok and then ...

Re: PnP III: Enhance the standard OS - DOWNLOAD IT HERE!

Tried a fresh true O2 Roobarb image and it throws up hundreds of I/O buffer errors and then fails to go past the Openpeak. It has now locked out the Mint stick. I will try the Mint os stick when it is cold again just to get a picture of the MMC. Looks like a deeply corrupted MMC unless I am mistaken.

Re: PnP III: Enhance the standard OS - DOWNLOAD IT HERE!

Have tried several O2 and Openpeak (roobarb) reflashes on a unit with unknown history with no luck. I have logged in with mint and used Gparted to clean the internal MMC carefully. With the Openpeak restore Key version I get a message that stops at "unable to format P3". EFI format ok P2 f...

Re: PnP III: Enhance the standard OS - DOWNLOAD v3.31 HERE!

Thank you very much for this brilliant resource. To add to the count I have recovered 3 Jogglers with PNPIII and they are rock solid with no gliches. One of them had a scorched paper effect on the boot screen. Now fully cured. I have Orb Caster (free) installed on my network and it is accessible fro...

Re: Reflashing Tool for the O2 Joggler

Thanks Dave for the encouragement. My only hitch now is that while I was preparing the stick, the revived Joggler updated over the air before I got back to it. So I have to enable Telnet now.

Re: Reflashing Tool for the O2 Joggler

Have by trial and error got mine running now. Thanks to hard working developers on here!! I am not able to Telnet yet and while I was preparing for an install of PnP III the joggler updated to the new software! I suppose it is a bit more work now to get telnet working before trying PnP III. Thanks s...

Re: Reflashing Tool for the O2 Joggler

Thanks for the guidance Richard (sixedup ). I think I understand what you say. Will check Fileroller and try again. Yes I did pipe it with the results previously posted.

Re: Reflashing Tool for the O2 Joggler

Thanks Johnnygal for the reply. I copied the line of script into terminal using my USB stick identifier sdd1 and I think that it was still in the download folder on Ubuntu so it wasn't found. Will post an image of what is on the stick. I have got a little further and have now got a samll output on s...

Re: Reflashing Tool for the O2 Joggler

I have never seen any partition named jog-boot yet, so I am guessing that I have to manually create it. I s that correct?

Re: Reflashing Tool for the O2 Joggler

Sorry if this is not posted in the correct place. I think I have tried reflashing about 12 times now (over 6 months) without any luck. Feels like I am missing something very basic. I have followed the quick instructions and the full version. I am using a 8GB Sandisk USB stick (previously unused) in ...
