Android 4.0 crashes when external speaker powered off
I have my Joggler running Android 4.0 from an external USB stick and connected to a pair of powered Creative PC speakers via the headphone socket. Recently I've noticed that if I power off the speakers by switching off their PSU Android immediately freezes and I need to power it off to restart it. C...

Re: Squeezeplay for Windows
Thanks, that's excellent. I only recently found Ralphy's build as I thought that Squeezeplay development had finished. The Joggler skin setting had completely passed me by! Nice to know that he's aware of the Joggler. We could run Squeezeplay on Windows 10 on the Joggler once Hawsey gets it sorted o...

Squeezeplay for Windows
I have Squeezeplay 7.8.0r539 on my PC & laptop but the size of the window is really quite small, about the same size as the display on a Squeezebox. One of the advantages of Squeezeplay OS on the Joggler over a Squeezebox is the bigger screen size. I remember a long time ago somebody tweaked Win...

Also try as many usb sticks as you can lay your hands on, the Joggler can be quite fussy

Re: Pipo X7 Windows 8.1 Smart Mini PC TV Box Media Player $9
I want a Pipo X8s! (the dual boot version with Windows 8.1 and Android 4.4) I don't think there is a Pipo X8'S' yet but the Std Version X8 can dual boot Windows 8.1 and Android 4.4. I've just ordered one from GearBest for about £72 when using the PIPOX8 code, seems to be a reasonable price before t...

Re: Joggler KitKat 4.4.2 beta (24/3/14)
The fakegps app https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1107587/fakegps.apk I'm running on Joggler ICS spoofs my home address well enough for Tripadvisor to work. There are a few Rotation Manager apps out there but this one is the best https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/110 ... anager.apk

Re: Joggler KitKat 4.4.2 beta (24/3/14)
I think your Kitkat installation will need to be rooted to edit the build.prop file but I'm sure that root is broken in this Kitkat ROM. It's probably not worth all the hassle IMHO. Let me know if you need the .apk files for Fake GPS or Rotation Manager.

Re: Joggler KitKat 4.4.2 beta (24/3/14)
There's an app called Rotation Manager I use for Joggler ICS that lets you force landscape rotation on a per-app basis. There's also quite a good Fake GPS app that allows apps that demand GPS to run. I'm guessing the reason that Kitkat doesn't show the bus app in the Play Store is to do with the bui...

Re: Joggler KitKat 4.4.2 beta (24/3/14)
Yes, I seem to remember the oddly-placed app icons on the desktop. Completely fixed with Nova Launcher & I just removed the stock launcher with Titanium Backup. And one or two other useless system apps besides.

Re: Joggler KitKat 4.4.2 beta (24/3/14)
What display glitches do you have? I had a few at the start but fixed them by binning the stock launcher & using Nova Launcher. It's now a very stable & reliable installation. The only glitch I'm left with is the formatting for desktop wallpaper is a bit funny but solved by using an abstract...

Re: Joggler KitKat 4.4.2 beta (24/3/14)
My Android Joggler gets turned off every night and I have a visceral aversion to pulling the plug to turn it off so I think I'll stick with my trusty ICS build. I've just installed Lollipop 5.1 (CM12.1) on my LG Gpad and am mighty impressed with the interface. Hopefully Herr Kirchhofer will come up ...

Re: Joggler KitKat 4.4.2 beta (24/3/14)
Thanks for this! Does your Kitkat Joggler survive any soft reboots now? And when can we expect Lollipop?

Re: I would like to apologise
Hi Daniel, stick around and offer some insights. Do you still use the Joggler? I couldn't do without mine. I have a networked music system running Squeezeplay OS and I've just set up Android Kit Kat on another. Android video apps don't work well because there isn't a suitable driver but, and it is ...
Re: Kano
I did have a look on ebay for the keyboard but no dice. I suspect I would tire of its funky looks though
Re: Kano
Looks like it has the old Raspberry Pi Model B inside http://www.kano.me/kit - I'm sure a man of your ability could put together a Pi 2 (£30 at PC world at the mo), a bluetooth keyboard/trackpad and a pretty case for a lot less than £120!

Re: Heeeelp !!
Android 4.04 runs really well too, I have mine on in the kitchen all day & leave it sitting there checking emails. It also makes a great media player. If you post me a 8MB or bigger USB stick I'll happily set up Android on it for you.
