Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

Re: Ubuntu Bionic for OpenFrame

I think nginx suppprts "reload" (sighup) to detect new certificate - so can use that rather than "restart" which would mean no down time and transactions in progress could complete.

3 Jogglers going free - collect from Sth London or pay postage

I just collected them.

These are destined for family members but there is a chance that they might not get on with LMS etc

I’ll start a new thread if/when time comes for me to give away some.

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

I see RT2860 mentioned in dmesg.

However, SSH session did drop after another day or two but, unlike with the previous OS version, the WiFi connection on the Joggler reestablished itself so I could SSH in again.

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

One big difference for me compared to the previous build that I had installed ... is that the WiFi has remained up the whole time. With the previous one, on the same Joggler in the same location and same access points, I found that the WiFi was dropping out after a few hours. With this one I have ha...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

At the moment ... of@openframe:~$ sudo of-update Server error by openbeak.net (500). Update aborted. I tried to install Squeezeplay using of-install and it failed. I traced the problem to the useradd command that has -s bash instead of -s /bin/bash Made that change locally and reran of-install and ...

Re: 6 x Joggler, 2 x Telstra w/ DECT phone and 1 x OpenPeak 2 free to collector

I think it is an optional part and only shipped with those that came with handsets. I managed to connect it to matching base (although I don’t remember which one it is now) but I did not spend enough time trying to get the SIP function working on the base before I replaced the firmware (although tha...

Re: 6 x Joggler, 2 x Telstra w/ DECT phone and 1 x OpenPeak 2 free to collector

I will be very interested if you could get the DECT phone to work … especially with a non-Openpeak base.
I managed to get mine to see it but was not able to make it complete the process.

What a great offer.
Hopefully someone in South Wales or Bristol area can rescue them to save a big wrapping and posting exercise.

Re: Finally cracked it!

I’ve not taken one apart yet but maybe this is the incentive I needed.
Doesn’t feel especially warm though (back leg heat sink is attached).
Given that reboot has always worked (without power down), I still think a software glitch is more likely though.

Re: Finally cracked it!

I picked up another Joggler (thanks @wildgill ) and am running this release on it (via USB stick). My intention is to move my existing Joggler Squeezebox players to using this. It is working well - except the WiFi connection seems to disappear after some hours or small number of days and does not co...

Re: Disable player

I suspect that most have stayed with the full SqueezePlay given it is the out-of-the-Box setup. The 2nd hand Joggler that I have acquired over the years have all come with SqueezePlay rather than JiveLite. I think that one reason for wanting the split was where the Joggler was only being used as a c...

Re: Finally cracked it!

That is great news. I would love to move off the ancient builds I am running, if only to give a cheap USB DAC that fails to work with the old stuff.
