Re: Dans XP 2003

How are you @mickchip? I will look for it...thinking I do have it. It was the one booting from USB and not Seabios at the time eh? These images are archived on a disk image from my windows desktop from back then. Dan also wrote a micro W2003 image. I do mostly run Ubuntu these days on all of my lapt...

Re: Writing a MAC address to Joggler NIC

Hello Andrew, Here it is on Microsoft OneDrive: This one is just the directory to write to a DOS boot stick. hxxps://1drv.ms/u/s!Akj-Oin7_x0rgZJBRtyJ0hoWOzCuKw?e=JiNVez It included the MAC ROM editor, Seabios ROM and Avaya ROMs. Recall that initially you have to install the Seabios ROM then you will...

Re: Ubuntu Bionic for OpenFrame

Yes here installed HASSIO in home #2 and still learning with it. I am only using remote access to it at this time and just doing MQTT there. This home installed a wireless Ring alarm system and a Ring to MQTT plugin. I also went to using GoSund in wall dimmer switches updated to Tasmota a scripting ...

Re: Ubuntu Bionic for OpenFrame

How do you like the dashboard for Hubitat on the Openframe? I have a Hubitat and 2 Smartthings here for tinkering. They are currently off though. For main automation (heartbeat automation) in the house currently utilizing a Leviton OmniPro 2 alarm automation panel (well 20 years now) with X10, UPB, ...

Re: Ubuntu Bionic for OpenFrame

Today write the new build on an Openpeak device (which looks like a Joggler but isn't). This Openpeak device is using a 16Gb SSD drive inside connected via ZIF cable. I just moved the OS partition to the 16Gb SSD and expanded it. Changed the boot UUID numbers in grub and fstab. This one has a 5 port...

Re: Ubuntu Bionic for OpenFrame

Interestingly, I can't seem to get this image booting on my OF2, but that is a Telio model with the default EFI that requires blind typing into the EFI shell (as I previously rewrote the stock OS to internal storage in a moment of madness while testing something) so I'll put that down to user error...

Re: Joggler's wifi has stopped working

I have seen the USB WLAN stick move after shipping a Joggler. That and typically is is positioned under the Joggler motherboard on the right side of the WLAN stick which can move it a bit from the USB socket.

Re: Broadcom BCM70015 mini pcie card

Here tested way back on the KODI 14.X build and only tested 1080 video to work fine. No stuttering. I did modify the Openframe 2 motherboard adding another USB port to the top (camera port), removed the combo WLAN/Bluetooth card and installed the Crystall 1/2 sized video card. I don't even remember ...

Re: Coughs and sneezes spread diseases.

My sister and brother in law have been stuck in FL now since after Christmas. They finally drove back here for an elective surgery which is difficult these days. Both of my children were fired on a Friday from their company then rehired the next Monday due to willy nilly management (well family run ...

How's it going out there in the UK. Grocery stores here are open with precautions. Shelves are stocked these days as it appears that the hoarders have quit hoarding. 1 - counting folks coming in to the store and leaving the store 2 - cleaning shopping carts for those coming in to the store 3 - weari...

Re: Ubuntu Bionic for OpenFrame

Good news Andy!!! I could never get open the Openpeak 2 tabletop. I do have an Openpeak open motherboard to test with. Working on a couple of side endeavors here. Purchased EMC drives for a new NAS box and couldn't get them to work and found out that you have to change the bios on the EMC drives in ...

Re: Debian Buster for OpenFrame

Will try making a tool here using a coat hanger as pushing on the two tabs to remove the LCD screen will be easier than pushing on one tab with a screwdriver. OK tried to pull up on the touchscreen using a plastic wedge tool and it does move. I have seen a picture of the disassemble tool which goes ...

That said opening the case is easy peasey if you go baby steps. (the following is from memory as I have...

Re: Debian Buster for OpenFrame

I tested the Openframe 2 KODI with a Crystal HD miniPCIE card and it worked fine years ago.

BUT that was Ubuntu 14.X and I am not sure whether drivers are around today for the Crystal HD cards. That said you can probably purchase one for $10.

Re: Basic music only player needed.

Installed Clementine on a basic Openframe 2 that is running Squeezeplayer.

Interface is kind of small and it would be difficult to navigate with the touch screen.

You could just remove the autolaunch of Squeezeplayer and launch Clementine on boot.
