Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame
I'v installed the Ubuntu Bionic image with USB stick and reflash tool to my OF2 device. ... Any Idee what the problem could be? Try it with one of the latest Debian images. I shifted focus from Ubuntu to stock Debian, so I have no idea what state things are in on that image these days. Links should...

Re: SqueezePlay on Debian Bookworm Openframe 2 - my installation
Nice tip on the wireless card, @pete - I tried for ages to get that Broadcom one to work well. It technically works, but performance was always awful unless you used the proprietary driver, which I believe is potentially problematic for me to distribute. Even then it wasn't great. The OpenFrame 2 be...

Re: how to set statistic ip for joggler
If you're using one of my Debian images, update the details in the /boot/netplan.yaml file. More details are here:
https://tecadmin.net/setup-static-ip-ad ... g-netplan/
Reboot and it should detect the changes.

Re: Poll : What OS are you running?
You don't happen to have a copy of Linux Mint that Jools used to compile do you ? Mainly for prosperity but it did work great . Ah, no - I'm afraid not. Did he retire it in favour of Xubuntu? I can't remember. He tends not to quit on stuff (hey, the forum is still here!) so maybe there were problem...

Re: Joggler's wifi has stopped working
I realise this is an old post... but the usb wifi in my joggler has been getting unreliable - it's running squeezeos (14.04) - what usb wifi stick would work ? (the link above is no longer working) Missed this! You can replace it with pretty much anything with Linux kernel support that will fit. I'...

Re: Debian Bookworm for OpenFrame
1. Do we think that adding the polkit stuff should be part of the "of-install squeezeplay" script, or is it part of upstream Squeezeplay, or something else? Would be good to get that upstream somewhere, but point me in the right direction if I should take that elsewhere! I've thrown that ...

Re: How to push music from android phone through DLNA
Hello there!
I can find plenty of DLNA server solutions, but nothing using push as a receiver, I'm afraid. I'm also an iOS guy, so not of much use when it comes to Android. :/
Good luck though, and let us know how you get along!

Re: Updated OpenPeak Firmware (Version 30300)
Is it possible to add some Clock faces to the open peak image? Like the o2 clock from the Pnp 3 image? It's likely to be more trouble than it's worth... almost everything on the original firmware was Flash, including the clocks if I remember correctly. You would be better off using a modern OS and ...

Re: Simple hdmi monitor?
Best I could suggest is using something like a HDHomeRun that it could use to slurp a TV feed from. I do this quite a lot with the one sat next to me on the desk if I want the news on in the background.

Hey there, If I may, first of all let me point you to my " never bin a joggler " post. I will be more than happy to pay your (reasonable!) postage costs to get it to me rather than it end up binned. :) I understand someone own(-ed) openpeak.net, did anymore happen with that heartbeat/updat...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame
Check /etc/asound.conf - it can be simplified for USB DACS.
There’s no issue running 24-bit/96kHz DACS, they work just fine.
Also, if you get any conflicts or weird behaviour, blacklisting the Intel sound module will disable internal audio entirely.

Re: Debian Bookworm for OpenFrame
Odd little thing, it would seem that permissions for cron are not being set correctly while the image is being built. Next images have a fix applied on first boot, but if you get an "access denied" error when setting up your crontab, do this: sudo -s chown :crontab /usr/bin/crontab chmod 2...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame
Not quite there yet Ahh, the old script still points to BirdsLikeWires backend and not the new dedicated server. Could you edit line 148 in the /usr/local/sbin/of-install script and change the SQPSERVER string to: SQPSERVER="https://openbeak.net/openframe/squeezeplay/v7.8" That should hav...

Oh, no! Are you intending to repair it?
If you are, great, you may just need a new EFI chip. If you're not I'd be happy to cover your postage costs to send it to me under my "never bin a Joggler" policy.
