Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame
It could probably be done ... but another approach is to run JiveLite rather than SqueezePlay and install/run Squeezelite if you want a local player (others have done that). That sounds like the best way forward. I see that Roobarb has packaged up a Debian Bookworm image for the Joggler on his site...

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame
Before I update my Jogglers to this new platform from sqpos, has anyone been able to solve the problem of Squeezeplay registering itself as a player in LMS, when you are using the Joggler as a control surface only and therefore don't want it to? Clearly the Logitech Controller firmware has a means o...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)
Is there an issue with the SqueezePlay repository at the moment? I just used the Update menu within SqueezePlay on a Joggler to see if there'd been any updates and it told me I was on version 1.60 but that version E.rr was available. For anyone that thinks it's a good idea to try it - don't! I had ...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
I don't think so, as long as it isn't one that pre-dates the plugin and therefore won't have the necessary code included. I'm running one from a couple of weeks ago and haven't found any issues with it. I'd just grab the latest available.

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
You need to update LMS to a nightly and then use the new Spotty plugin instead of the previous plugins.

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Is there an easy way to back up and then restore a configuration for SqueezePlay on SqueezePlayOS? I just managed to inadvertently corrupt one of my Jogglers and had to re-flash it. It would be great if there was a relatively easy way of restoring all my preferences for menu orders, etc. to mirror m...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Roobarb One question for you: since updating all three of my Jogglers from whatever ancient version they were on, they are now all reporting mostly correct MAC addresses back to LMS now. I say mostly because the vendor ID part on all of them is showing 02:0E:8E:xx:xx:xx whereas they are all stickere...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & sqpOS)
I'd have thought there'd actually be very few updates now that Logitech has discontinued all of the products based on SqueezePlay with the possible exception of the new Ultimate Ears Radio. If that makes the code base less fluid then a diff patch might work well, even when Roobarb and others are add...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & sqpOS)
I don't know if there's any demand for this, or how easy it is to achieve, but the Logitech Controllers which are also based on SqueezePlay have an option to enable or disable playback ability on them so they can appear in the list of available players or not, in which case they are simply there to ...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & sqpOS)
1) A "Send To.." button on the now playing screen which when pressed, allows you to choose one of your other devices to throw the currently playing track to, and stop it playing on the current one. Sync With & Stop Current basically. There is already a plugin to do this. It's called S...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & sqpOS)
That sounds fair. The only part I'm interested in different from the Squeezeplay default is that when Squeezeplay kicks in its own 'Screen off' screensaver (which I have enabled in the 'When stopped' mode) I'd like it to also switch off the backlight. Currently the backlight stays on unless Squeezep...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & sqpOS)
Thanks, roobarb! Did you get to try Wilberforce's backlight-off patch at all? I'm on the standard OpenPeak OS so I haven't tried it myself yet as I haven't got around to figuring out whether I need the busybox install as well. Not sure I've seen that one - could you point me towards the post and I'...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & sqpOS)
Is there a way to get SqueezePlay to switch off the backlight when the 'Screen off' screensaver kicks in?
Currently it blanks the screen but leaves the backlight switched on. The backlight only seems to switch off when the player itself is in the off mode.

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & sqpOS)
Just a quick note to say that I've tested the SqueezePlay installers on the recently released OpenPeak OS. I just downloaded the OpenPeak OS and the latest version of SqueezePlay yesterday. Aside from the known issue of the USB installer not working it went on smoothly and has been working really w...
