Wifi specs? 300mbps?

Hi, My router is a Belkin 300N one. It has two antennae and suports two spatial streams on the 2.4GHz band. iwconfig wlan0 on the Joggler says: Bit Rate=135 Mb/s I was expecting 270 MB/s as I've enabled channel bonding (40MHz). The RT2770 supports 300 doesn't it? I see it has two antennae attached. ...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler

Hi, Apologies for asking this in this thread but if anybody knows you guys will. Firstly I should say I’m a long time user of the SqueezeplayOS on the Joggler and think it’s brilliant. I use a Joggler as a bedside radio with LMS running on it to also serve my SB3 on the hi-fi in the lounge. It all w...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler

Should I be using Apache? (from googling around on the subject) is it appropriate for this OS? Apache, sure, or mongoose (which is much smaller and simpler). Thanks for that. I tried Mongoose but I couldn't find a compiled version to install. I tried doing this but the MAKE stage failed. (Make is i...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler

Also, I was wondering, if I wanted to have the files that are on the attached drive available over the internet (just to copy, not to stream), what sort of program would I need to install? Seeing as I have the joggler on 24/7 now, it would be nice.

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler

Does anybody else get an issue when they first use after flashing, whereby you put in your mysqueezebox.com credentials and it won't connect? Looking at the 'players' tab in mysqueezebox.com, it HAS added the player, but will never connect to it. If I then delete it there, go into registration sett...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler

Great stuff.

Is it beneficial to turn off all logging, to save on flash writes? (i.e., just turn it on when there's a problem you need to solve.)

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler

Just to say thanks to all of you, not just for helping me fix these issues, but for creating the system in the first place. Truly great work! One little tip, which is handy particularly when playing BBC stations. Once you have LMS, iPlayer, PlayWMA and PlayReal installed, go into the file types sett...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler

I tried leaving the CACHEDIR as is and symlinking to the new location but that didn't work either. Did you shut down LMS before creating the link? If it's storing the database where it says it is, that really should have worked. Yes I did, but adding the new cache directory on the HDD as root is pr...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler

Just a thought but do you use WiFi at all For running squeezeserver I've found it a lot easier to simply use a USB stick but plug it in internally in place of the WiFi card. No issues with running out of space that way (I'm using an 8G stick so plenty of space after resizing the partition in GParte...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler

I get exactly the same problem with SBS as I do with LMS. [12-07-23 09:26:14.8543] Slim::Schema::Storage::throw_exception (122) Error: DBI Exception: DBD::SQLite::db selectrow_array failed: database or disk is full [for Statement " It has no problem at all re-scanning if I clear out the cache f...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler

Thanks, I will try that next.
If I am to remove LMS I may as well reflash the OS, and refer to your 'Squeezeplay OS recipes' thread.
I.e., Reflash (using the birdslikewires internal MMC version), install SSH, clean out the stuff we don't need, then install Squeezebox Server using your instructions.

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler

In desperation, I tried editing /etc/init.d/logitechmediaserver CACHEDIR=/var/lib/$NAME/cache to point to a new 'cache' directory in my external drive CACHEDIR=/media/usb0/cache but the server just refuses to start then. I think it may be an ownership thing, but try as I might I can't change the own...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler

OK, thanks for that.
I'm sure I've read in another post that there is lots of stuff in the SqueezeplayOS that doesn't need to be there anyway, and you can remove lots of it and free up lots of space.
I'll see if I can track that down and maybe remove some packages.
Cheers,
Glenn
