Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

The new BBC Sounds plugin on LMS works well with the Joggler and a USB soundcard, but not before editing /etc/asound.conf - if you don't, you'll get an unsupported sample rate error. BBC Sounds broadcasts at 320kbps and 48kHz. Change the sample rate in /etc/asound.conf from 44100 to 48000 (44.1kHz t...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

BTW, my Raspberry Pi and Joggler only need to be on 2.4 GHz for discovery and initial connection. My Pi is now on 5 GHz and LMS still recognises the Joggler. I'm running 8 on a raspberry Pi. I have to make sure that the Pi is connected to 2.4 GHz wi-fi or LMS won't recognise the Joggler. Once both a...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

I'm running 8 on a raspberry Pi. I have to make sure that the Pi is connected to 2.4 GHz wi-fi or LMS won't recognise the Joggler. Once both are on 2.4 GHz, if you choose the player drop-down on LMS, you should see the player, but probably connected to Squeezebox.com. Select the player and it will a...

Re: Logitech Media Server 7.9.1 + YouTube Plugin working

TBH, I've given up on running LMS on the Joggler; it's just too fiddly to do updates and it kept crashing for me. I only use my Jogglers as players and now run LMS on a Raspberry Pi using Max2Play. It is so easy to update from the Max2Play web interface and I have found it to be more stable (althoug...

Re: Borked Joggler low effort fix please

I have to admit, I've more or less ditched using mp3 files, or any stored digital format for that matter. Streaming or vinyl are my preferred options nowadays. I honestly can't say when I last listened to an mp3 music file.

Re: Borked Joggler low effort fix please

I must say that Squeezeplay OS has never run better since I moved Logitech Media Server to a Raspberry Pi. The easiest, peasiest way to do this is using Max2Play. It allows you to stop, start, restart and update to the latest nightly version from a user-friendly web interface on your computer, witho...

Re: what's the best Operating system and App to play this radio station?

1) If you use Squeezeplay OS, use the search facility on the Home Screen, search for "Radio Goa" 2) A screen will come up asking where you want to search for it; choose "Radio" then all the search results will load 3) When you see the station you want, hold your finger over it (d...

Re: Back with LMS and still confused!

I now use LMS on a Raspberry Pi using Max2Play. It really is very simple to use and upgrading the LMS server to the latest nightly is a breeze (I do it whenever I get notification of an update). One of the best things is that it downloads the nightly and renames it to a generic name (lms.deb I think...

If it's taking input through USB and putting audio out through phono, doesn't that make it a DAC?

Brilliant! Thanks. I'm going to do a fresh install first before the update; clear out a lot of the plugins I don't use.

You may be right about the problem, I don't know. I do know that I fixed the problem by resetting the registration and re-registering multiple times, until the apps eventually appeared.

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

Seriously confused now. I've connected another Joggler to my LMS server but hardly any apps show up under My Apps and certainly not the green Spotify icon. I have unticked the Show in my apps option in Triode's plugin. The weird thing is that I can access and use loads of apps for the player (includ...

And yes, even weirder... As Man in a van suggested, I've installed both plugins and now the green Spotify icon works (yes, the green one ) without the transient errors. It even has the playlist and mood suggestions of Spotify on other devices, which I like for music discovery. Some might miss the Tr...

Weirder and weirder! I searched for "beatles" and got the general transient error on 4 occasions and on the fifth, it delivered the expected results. I did the same with "sinatra" and "marvin gaye" (all searches lowercase) and found similar results, i.e. some error resu...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

I think the method for choosing a random testing track is now broken, leading to the metadata failure and the inability to stream, even though the plugin works (but not as before.) I haven't checked any logs, but the inability to access certain features makes me think that. Other users running the S...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

Is anybody experiencing this problem with the Spotify plugin on LMS? http://i63.tinypic.com/11avmza.png Weirdly, Spotify will list all my existing playlists and they work fine, even from a fresh installation with the plugin applied from scratch. Other things work in strange ways; for example, if I s...

I recently installed the Youtube app and entered the necessary API key, which allowed me to access Youtube channels and content lists. Unfortunately though, it wouldn't play any of the content.
