Re: Unable to connect to WiFi: CRDA error

Ah, spoke too soon. One of them is working. The other refuses to connect wirelessly, not sure why. I can only get into it with an Ethernet cable and ssh. I followed these instructions: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/92799/connecting-to-wifi-network-through-command-line ..and it did connect...

Re: Updated OpenPeak Firmware (Version 30301)

Pete - as you can see I have just got both of them working thanks to your advice and roobarb's latest SqueezeOS. I'm glad there's still some activity on the forum and that people are still using the Joggler. Once again, thanks to you and roobarb for helping me. Really happy to have the Jogs up and r...

Re: Unable to connect to WiFi: CRDA error

Hi Pete Sorry for the late reply (one year late). I've reflashed with the latest SqueezePlayerOS 303 and amended the /etc/network/interfaces file in your first step. Reboot and it appears to be working, bypassing the SqueezeBox settings completely. Hurrah! Now I can dust the Jogglers off and restore...

Re: Updated OpenPeak Firmware (Version 30301)

Now this is interesting... I still have a problem with the wifi on my devices. I wonder if the new firmware will fix it...? Anyway, thanks for persevering with it. I'm flashing now after several false starts, probably caused by Safari opening the .gz and me not realising it had uncompressed it in si...

Re: Unable to connect to WiFi: CRDA error

Yes, the WLAN card is still visible to the OS, so I think there is no loose connection. It used to work with this SqueezePlay OS version (the latest), then suddenly stopped. I think CRDA is a standard that ensures WiFi cards conform to the region they are being used in. So, the driver should be aski...

Unable to connect to WiFi: CRDA error

Hi Can anyone help me? I cannot connect to WiFi on the Joggler any more. I am seeing errors in dmesg: cfg80211: Calling CRDA to update world regulatory domain wlan0: deauthenticated from f8:1e:df:fc:fe:f5 (Reason: 2=PREV_AUTH_NOT_VALID) I've had a good look round t'Internet but I cannot find a fix t...

Re: Cannot connect to WiFi on SqueezePlay OS, please help!

Tip: To set the AirPlay name of your joggler (which comes up on the iOS device Airplay list), SSH to the Joggler and edit the file .squeezeplay/userpath/settings/Playback.lua You are looking to change the value of the playerinit name setting as shown in bold below. settings = {enableAudio=1,squeezeN...

Re: Cannot connect to WiFi on SqueezePlay OS, please help!

No chance, there are too many devices to update. But I think I have succeeded by following these instructions: https://www.thefanclub.co.za/how-to/how-add-wireless-lan-adaptor-static-ip-ubuntu-auto-connects-startup . The Squeezeplayer UI still thinks it is connected to the wired network, but the cab...

Re: Cannot connect to WiFi on SqueezePlay OS, please help!

Hmm, I wonder if this could be the problem? -- the wpa supplicant won't tell you the keys, we need to parse them from the config file function _readPSK(self, ssid) local param = _readWpaConfig(self, ssid) local psk = assert(param["psk"]) -- remove quotes psk = string.match(psk, '^"(.*)"$') or psk re...

Re: Cannot connect to WiFi on SqueezePlay OS, please help!

Thanks Hawsey I tried it but no luck. Have you got any special characters in your PSK like . ^ ~ { } [ ] ( ) ! , ? Meanwhile, using instructions here http://askubuntu.com/questions/16584/how-to-connect-and-disconnect-to-a-network-manually-in-terminal , I have manually enabled the wireless adapter, i...

Re: Cannot connect to WiFi on SqueezePlay OS, please help!

I have been using OpenPeak up till now, that's how I know it is working. But I suspect that the special characters in my passphrase are causing a problem (especially if there are shell scripts involved). I guess that is the question, is the OS coded to use shell scripts to update the <whatever file ...

Cannot connect to WiFi on SqueezePlay OS, please help!

Hi all Per the title, I am not able to connect my Joggler to my wireless network in SqueezePlay OS. I keep getting the "No network address has been assigned to the Wireless interface (wlan0)" error. I have followed the advice given in the SqueezeOS thread but none of it seems to work. My passphrase ...

Re: Time has lost 8 minutes

Linux, O2 build with Tango interface. Basically as it came from O2 but with updates from birdslikewires.com.

One is on the latest build (30300), the other is on the build prior to that.

Re: Updated OpenPeak Firmware (Version 30300)

There is a problem with the Squeezeplayer of the latest release. Originaly, I wrote and released the code that added an off button to the Squeezeplayer's front panel, which exited the application and got you back to the Tango UI. Now, since 30300, it is not working. The screen goes blank on touching...

Time has lost 8 minutes

Hi

Both my Jogglers seem to be running 8 minutes late. So when it is 13:00 in real time, the joggler is displaying a time of 12:52.

I expect this is caused by the internet time service it is using. Am I the only one? I'm using the latest build one one and it does the same thing.

Cheers

Re: For Sale

How about £40 all in via PayPal?

(For one, that is... I've seen them go for less but I want to be fair..) Can you confirm are they boxed and in "as new" condition: no scratches or other nasties? I'll want at least one - just wondering if I need more...
