Re: new custom Android 2.2.1 Build

Thanks asantaga Much appreciated. I figured that some of the apps simply are not compatible with the version of android we have. Some initial app notes: Apps that work: Last FM, Pocket Auctions for Ebay, Weather Channel, Sky News, Pulse, Google Reader (but not full screen) - use Pulse instead, Faceb...

Re: new custom Android 2.2.1 Build

Thanks asantaga The market does work and I have been able to download quite a few apps. The reason why I asked is why some are failing to install? For example, LastFM installed and works perfect but TuneIn Radio does not. Similarly, Weather Channel works very well but the WeatherBug does not. BBC Ne...

Re: new custom Android 2.2.1 Build

Hi guys Thanks for this amazing image. I mainly use my joggler fr music and since lastfm is working (I am a subscriber) I am thrilled! It was working on Jolicloud but the love/ban feature on squeezeplay did not feed back to last fm. A few issues: Google Maps Force Closes instantly Tried to install V...

Re: Spotify on Squeezeplay on Jolicloud

May just do that if I get another joggler for the living room which I am seriously considering.

For now, everything works perfect.

Cheers

Re: Spotify on Squeezeplay on Jolicloud

I never actually installed the server on the joggler. I just followed your instructions on the server installation and web interface on my iMac and that seemed to do the trick. The drop outs are very sporadic and it can be any number of things. My connection is good (13Mbps) but the joggler ic conne...

Re: Spotify on Squeezeplay on Jolicloud

gegs thanks for your help. They both work fantastic now. Squeezeplay is really what i use the joggler most for as well. I do tend to get some choppy sound on Triode Spotify though after a while (more testing needed to confirm), perhaps I need to follow Buzz's advice for the audio settings (I have al...

It works great for me too now that I changed to AAC. I was also getting the WMA error.

Re: Spotify on Squeezeplay on Jolicloud

Can I just say gegs, You are a genius! It worked perfectly on the latest Jolicloud image (13/03/11). For some reason i had the Spotify application and the plugin activated but never gave my login details to the Triode plugin. Once I entered those in and restarted the server the joggler was able to f...

Spotify on Squeezeplay on Jolicloud

Hi guys I have been having some trouble with Spotify on Squeezeplay on Jolicloud. I am a premium subscriber but I do not seem to be able to play the music. I can see the playlists so the Joggler knows who I am and what my credentials are but for some reason I cannot play the songs. I am not at home ...

Re: Squeezeplay on Native - BBC iPlayer buffering

Perhaps a bit of an expensive solution - one i did consider until i remembered that i had the homeplugs already - would be to add a wifi bridge near your joggler and run a cable from it. Obviously not the most tidy set up but one that works nonetheless, assuming you trust your existing WiFi network ...

Re: USB Partition

Thanks guys

In the end I used Gparted on my other Jolicloud Machine and created a new partition of the empty space in FAT32 to allow me to use on my Mac for photos etc.

All worked a treat.

Thanks for the advice.

Re: Squeezeplay on Native - BBC iPlayer buffering

I had some WiFi issues as well - solved it with a basic pair of homeplugs as - like dwl99 - I only use mine attached to a kitchen stereo and only used for audio. I did not require any generous bandwidth for it.

Perhaps worth trying?

USB Partition

Hey guys I am using a 16GB USB Flash drive on the btrfs (comp) image through a USB extension cable to hide some of the cable clutter. It all seems to work well for now. The image install obviously only took 4 GB of space on the stick which means I have 12GB left. Is there anyway I can partition this...

Re: hello

Thanks for setting this up Buzz. I have only been using Jolicloud on my joggler for about a week but what a difference it has made already! A bit slow some times but steady once it is going! Only gripe...I wish it had an on & off button. It scares me everytime i have to kill it at the wall! Chee...
