Re: O2: Updating O2 Joggler on 30th April

How do I prevent the update again?

Is there a date after which the O2 update will pass and I no longer have to worry about the forced update?

Re: In car power supply?

The Maplin one is back (finally) at £9.99 and free delivery if you buy something for a couple of pennies.

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)

Tried the ALT+A and it worked. I found a powered hub that works (without the white screen problem). It's the 4 port HP hub. P/N F5U232, but just encountered a problem when connecting my iphone. The iPhone pops up a warning triangle and a message about charging not supported and the Joggler does not ...

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)

One thing to be aware of, the Joggler's native screen res is too small to click 'accept' on the first launch screen - iTunes also displays a popup warning about the screen res. You may get past that point by ALT+A or SPACE. If you are controlling the Joggler over VNC, then you can change the screen...

Thanks Mevi, I've re-cloned the HDD and started again.
Never done VNC before so will give it a shot.

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)

Hi all, I kind of got myself in to a pickle because I wanted to install iTunes so it would install all the drivers but after the install, iTunes recommended a change of screen resolution which I attempted, but now the Joggler's screen is messed up (all icons kind of out of phase and doubled) and I c...

Is there a reason why we can't have a fully flash enabled browser?

Re: Powered USB hub?

Mevi wrote:Not quite a hub, but very useful is a xbox HD DVD drive. It has 2 extra USB ports on the back. It's powered and doesn't feed power back into the Joggler. It's not useable with my XP builds though. :(
Why is it not usable Mevi?

Re: Powered USB hub?

Have you tried one that does not produce the white screen? I'm not sure what kind of powered hub you're using but I've got one of these http://bit.ly/yp3FKy and it works like a dream. You will notice that the connection to the Joggler needs a USB printer cable like this http://bit.ly/wdgVsT but the...

Re: In car power supply?

Just before I buy it, I'm curious way this discussion is for a 3A (Maplin/ebay) power supply whereas the DC plug for my Joggler states 4A.

Would it not be better/safer to get a 4A version?

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)

Just connected a bluetooth dongle and I get the following message: The file "BTHUSB.SYS" on Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 CD is needed.

Copy files from: D:\XP03\i386

When I press OK, nothing happens.

Where can I get the missing files from please?

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)

Tried the CoreAVC and MPC combo setup, but the results are poor when enabling subtitles on 720P content (shame as this combo worked great on my under-powered netbook).

I guess I'll have to either learn Chinese or watch English language only HD movies

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)

Again, thanks :D What I done was run the "with Hub" command with admin privileges and it worked. The Joggler boots off a non powered hub and also allows use of a keyboard and mouse. Will Avira and Malwarebytes slow it down too much? Lastly, I'm surprised it plays 720p MKV's smoothly (which...

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)

Hi, thanks for the reply. Would love to hardware hack but it's beyond my current ability (fear of destroying it). I'm not going to use a powered hub after reading about it, but just tried an non-powered hub (which worked with the Ubuntu image i used a while ago [again with a 1.8" hard drive], i...
