Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.

Thanks. I don't have any plans, but I have another 14.04 update coming. Did you document your kernel compilation, patching and update process somewhere? I'm mainly looking for a step by step guide so that anyone can figure it out and upgrade the kernel to 3.10.104+ for some semblance of security. L...

Recommendation for an internal WLAN+Bluetooth USB stick

I use one of my Jogglers as an A2DP Bluetooth receiver for my phone and a bedside clock. The initial hardware configuration was crappy: remove the internal WLAN stick, add a Xubuntu 12.10 USB stick inside (super small A-DATA MicroSD reader), add a Bluetooth adapter in the external port. The clear di...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.

Hey BuZz, we all really appreciate what you've been doing so far for the Joggler community, I personally use two jogglers with your releases. Would you be willing to put together a new release for us? Perhaps some security rollups (packages and a new kernel for 12.04), even a 13.04 release maybe? I...

Updates to Ubuntu / Xubuntu images (09/04/2013) * XBMC 12.1 (and switched back to Xeebo skin) * Distro package rollups. * Kernel 3.2.20.
* Fix stuck keys issue with Florence on screen keyboard.
* Distribution Package updates.
You are doing great work, it's very much appreciated :) The 1.0 image required 190 package updates and florence was screwed.

Re: ubuntu / xubuntu 12.04 (precise pangolin)

You know what BuZz, how about a Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Server release that has the minimal amount of Joggler-specific fixes applied? I am aware it still wouldn't be much of a "real" server release, because you're rolling your own kernels and you'd have to track security updates, but I use my jog...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.

I think putting the same mac address as the one that appears when I try editing the auto connection (which is different from the actually set mac address which appears in connection information) in that config file fixed it. Thanks.

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.

ppa for the joggler kernel is possible but risky. due to the custom boot stuff i would have to handle that, and it would be some work to script. not many remote kernel exploits really though to worry about, unlike the recent remote udp root exploit for windows even on closed ports ;-) but if you ar...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.

Fantastic work as usual, I've been using your builds for a long while and figured it would be a good time to upgrade to xubuntu 11.10, the btrfs edition, as we have no usual means of receiving kernel security updates without you rebasing, rebuilding the kernel and releasing a new image (considered a...
