Re: External hard drive partitions.
So you want to be able to partition the drive, keep your data safe while you reflash the OS partitions? You'd have to abandon Win32Imager or similar to write to the HDD as this'll wipe the whole drive, but no doubt that you'd be able to temporarily write to a USB stick or virtual drive and clone tho...

I've been following your openframe thread with interest. Looks a great piece of kit, aside from the opening tool.

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)
Hi Pete, sorry I missed your posts about the openframe. Maybe the soundchip is used differently (correctly?) in the openframe and so doesn't need the 'patched' drivers we use for the Joggler (Linux and XP).
Suppose that would explain why installing new drivers over the top cured the missing audio.

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)
Hi Inzimam, I'm just drinking coffee before I leave for work, so I'll quickly answer the questions I can. :) One forum member solved the problem of running squeeze server on this build of XP. From memory, it installs but craps out as soon as you try to launch it and doesn't give a useful crash repor...

Re: Insomnia blues
The reason I think the tablets are expensive is that they are just dietary supplements. If you want to increase the amount of 5-HTP in your diet, simply increase the amount of Tryptophan (one of the essential amino acids) in your diet..... Tryptophan is found in nearly everything we eat, but in high...

Re: Insomnia blues
Back to ilovemyjoggler's original topic, I have been taking a 5-HTP dietry supplement (5-hydroxytrytophan) since I came off an SNRI a month or so ago. 5-HTP is a precursor/intermediate to seratonin and MELATONIN. I took it initially to boost just my seratonin, but when I take 100mg about an hour bef...

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)
Great news, Andrew! Glad you got it working. :) From memory, i think that the extra drivers folder is just Joggler drivers. If you have a backup somewhere, I think it's OK to junk that. Once you have your drive all running as you like, make an image or VHD backup!! From experience gained doing this ...

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)
The Revo I had tucked behind the tv sucks up HUGE amounts of dust. It draws air in one side and pushes it out the other, and who knows where all that dust ends up inbetween!! I used an air duster to blast it through, but it's not as quiet as it was when we first got it. Like yours, probably needs a ...

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)
And it's still just audio that is stuttering? Video is OK?
Is it lossy audio that you are streaming, like MP3, WMA or M4A, or are you streaming lossless like FLAC or WAV? Silly question, but I only ask as lossless audio codecs will be very high bit rate.

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)
Good news, Hawsey!
There will probably be a few things that you'll want to uninstall and/or upgrade, software wise. It's been a while since I finished it and things move on. CCleaner which is installed will also need an update, but has a uninstall tool that is quicker to use than the XP one.

If only a bigger power supply an option and didn't spell disaster for the Joggler! If you go down the powered hub route, you should expect to see the Joggler screen to light up when the Joggler is powered off and the powered hub is powered up. I don't think it causes any harm to the Joggler. Some hu...

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)
It might be that UAC on W7 is preventing the .cmd from writing to the root of the hdd. Simply copy the contents of the WITHHUB directory into the root, overwriting when prompted.... That's all the .cmd does. You might get a UAC warning, or it's maybe that UAC doesn't like the automated copying into ...

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)
The IMG and VHD, aside from the packaging, are identical. On windows 7 & 8 (Vista maybe?), you can natively mount the VHD in the storage management snap in and access it as though it were a physical drive. Google for a script or batch file that quickly automates that mounting. Browse it, copy fi...

No, don't rename. Unzip it using 7zip or equivalent. The IMG format was requested by the forum users, plus it's been the standard way to distribute OS images on the forum. If you are using windows img writer, you need to first launch it with a memory stick, e.g. G:\ Next, without quittng disk imager...

Or a Joggler running a Joggler FTP repository? :D I think all the big host services expire links and Dropbox has a download limit. I already have a Joggler Dropbox with nothing in it. Just remembered Kim Dotcom's new Mega service. Will check that out too. What I really liked about Min.us was that I ...

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)
Pete, you can change the boot order of boot.ini from within windows. If you type msconfig.exe from windows run, it's in there on one of the tabs, from memory.
