Re: PnP III for pre/post OpenPeak update Jogglers - Get it h

Progress! I *think* my problem was related to a startup script/setting on the reflash of the original o/s. When I started from complete scratch again last night, I tried using the pnp3 stick before first boot and it didn't work again. I left the stick in, went through the "name, mobile, email a...

Re: PnP III for pre/post OpenPeak update Jogglers - Get it h

Well, 7 minutes in and it's still doing it's thing so it would appear you are just very unlucky with the USB stick! Didn't realise PnP III was so fussy though! I've used a range of sticks as chronicled elsewhere and never had a problem with any of them running anything! This is what I don't underst...

Re: PnP III for pre/post OpenPeak update Jogglers - Get it h

Nope. Still nothing. It's insane! The reflash to original o/s works just fine. Telnet is enabled (I get an atom login) but I can't log in, no matter what combinations I try. I then use the ssh enable script and that kills telnet but I can get in with ssh and using joggler/joggler. USB is same one th...

Re: PnP III for pre/post OpenPeak update Jogglers - Get it h

I give in... I had a perfectly working joggler until flipping O2 decided to trash it for me, thanks. I've tried everything under the sun to get it back and have now reflashed it back to a pre-update o/s I then ran the ssh enable script and I can get in just fine with ssh I have formatted my usb stic...

Re: Plug n pimp, usb soundcard with mixer, left channel only

I think I'm just doomed with these USB speakers (logitech s-150) as it's only them that go wrong. If I plug in a supported usb audio stick and plug my headphones in, I get audio in both ears.

Re: Plug n pimp, usb soundcard with mixer, left channel only

Thanks gegs, we've spoken before. They're usb audio speakers with their own driver. Signal goes down the usb cable. They work fine with the joggler with alternative o/s in place! (but I can't get on with alternative o/s and just want to use squeezeplayer).

Plug n pimp, usb soundcard with mixer, left channel only?

As the title states... if I set sound to usb with mixer I get audio through one channel only (left). Is there actually a mixer app/setting somewhere on the joggler now I should be using? The speakers are fine when plugged into my laptop. If I choose usb soundcard (no mixer) I get the speeded-up audi...

Re: RELEASE - Windows XP Professional SP3

No Pete - I don't want to lose the wifi from inside! Cables not possible into the kitchen at present, so it'd be external usb hub.

Re: RELEASE - Windows XP Professional SP3

ok, I'll look into that, thanks. Is there any way of pinching the fonts/lua folders out of the linux builds that give a 800x480 screen and using for the windows installation of squeezeplay? Also is it worth me installing iplayer or itvplayer or even xbmc on this or does it all run too slowly? I'll p...

Re: RELEASE - Windows XP Professional SP3

OK, I wasn't getting anything out of it even on internal speaker, then I went into sound settings/adjust speaker volume and both sliders were way down to the left so I moved them up and I can now get squeezeplay through the internal speaker. Weird... now it's working through my external speakers too...

Re: RELEASE - Windows XP Professional SP3

carled, Does your control panel, system properties, computer show a speed of 199Mhz or does it show 1.33GHz when its running slow? Took a while to get it to boot again. I get the "int 37" message a lot. Occasionally it boots and I got lucky just now. Intel Atom Z520 @ 1.33GHz, 496MB Ram M...

Re: RELEASE - Windows XP Professional SP3

Oopsie. Killed the windows boot image by trying to get soft squeeze installed. It asked for java to be installed and I did (1.6) but on reboot I get endless errors now saying something about "Int37" being detected. Ha. That was last night, just tried it again to get exact error message and...

Re: RELEASE - Windows XP Professional SP3

Well. Colour me confused. I've downlaoded, expanded and mounted the vhd. I've got minitool partition wizard running. I've deleted all partitions on my USB stick. Now it gets confusing. You refer to "clone" and I can't find that command. I have "copy" and I chose that for what com...

Re: noob questions!

Hmm. I tried another unpowered hub that I've had for ages and that seems to be fine. It's one of the cheapo square ones with a port at each corner and it hasn't caused a single crash as yet. I have also switched to the Ubuntu release and that seems far more responsive and stable than the Joli one to...
