Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

Thanks from me also, very much appreciated.
I have applied the update and the Custom Clock settings can now be accessed. Super!

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

Thanks again, roobarb! I'm getting closer.. The above seems fixed. One little other problem: I am using the custom clock helper (CCH) plugin (along with superdatetime) and it does not work (which it did with your old SqueezePlayOS) This needs to be installed both as a plugin on the LMS server as we...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

Good that you got it going. I do recall reading somewhere that the wireless mac address is "derived" from wired mac address as the wireless card doesn't have one. Not sure how accurate this is as I thought all network devices would have their own unique mac address. Anyway, have fun with t...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

Weird isn't it. I do recall that some "jiggery-pokery" is done to MAC addresses by SQOS, to try and create a pseudo unique address. Reading your last post jogged (pun intended!) my memory in that I had some funnies when trying to use MAC addresses in my router configuration to tie down IP ...

Re: 4x OpenPeak 7E on E Bay Sold out

Annoyingly it is not booting from external SqueezePlayOS USB stick. I went with external USB for now and works ok. Where I've had issues in the past not booting from internal memory, I have got it working using the "fs0:, boot" trick. Have you tried this but I assume using fs1: instead?

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

Yep, I agree with Paul. Check the MAC address of each player by running it independently. I have three here (one now a 7e that I bought from the last batch of 3 on ebay) and each shows with it's name in the dropdown on the "Player" tab of the LMS admin pages. (see attachment) Maybe restart...

Will these take flashing squeezeplay OS to internal memory, anyone done this? Does the the wireless work in this setup?

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

There's not much, I think I binned pretty much everything that I could. There's definitely nothing of significant size that I'm aware of... I suspected that you had already trimmed it down to essentials but it was worth asking anyway. Thanks. I'll perhaps just keep an eye on it and see how much it ...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

I have revisited SQ OS 3 and find that chromium-browser works the way I want it, so not sure why I had issues before. I also have it on internal memory - yippee! Again, I've swapped/bought different jogglers since the last time I was testing this, so maybe the joggler I'm trying it on now is newer. ...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

Yep, I still use 1.09 for various reasons. Hey johnnygal; out of interest, why do you still run the older version? Only ask because I'm toying with the idea of making a version 4 when the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS release comes out, so wanted to check if I've missed something in v2 or v3. No promises, mind ...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

No problem, glad you got it going again. I have found in the past though that once you start getting corruptions/failures on the internal memory, it's usually a sign that it's on the way out and will become unusable in the near future. I have a number of jogglers like this and can only use them now ...

It looks like Roobarb is still hosting the older versions here:

You just drop the appropriate files into the reflash tool, available on his website.

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

Just had something really weird happen here. I was running SqOS (v1.09 I think) with squeezeplayer updated to v.160 on internal memory and did a reboot. It came back up and entered the Squeezeplay setup i.e. choose language, network settings, etc. I ran through this to get it back on the network. W...
