I tried the above without upgrading and directly running 'sudo of-install squeezeplay' and then it installed without issues.

Re: Writing a MAC address to Joggler NIC
The link in the first post was dead and I went searching and found a linux program to change the mac which does not seem to work but maybe someone else has more luck. https://git.sysmocom.de/sysmocom/rtl8168-eeprom sudo -i of-install build apt install pkgconf libpci-dev wget https://git.sysmocom.de/...

clean install fails
A clean install of squeezeplay on internal memory (https://birdslikewires.net/download/openframe/images/ubuntu/latest_54/bio-ext2-1028-43-bionic-5.4.176op.img.gz) seems broken atm. I did a sudo -i apt update apt install libio-socket-ssl-perl libnet-libidn-perl libnet-ssleay-perl libcrypt-openssl-rsa...

I changed the MAC via bios as you described, I changed the MAC in /boot/network.yaml and I changed the hostname via hostnamectl but they still get the same IP address??!??

Re: Writing a MAC address to Joggler NIC
22) to write 80:C8:62:00:00:01 on openframe you have to run pg8168.exe /nodeid 80C862000001 (so without the :s) 23) You need to reboot and press F7 for this. (the backup rom should be in root of disk named UPGRADE.ROM as described above) the OS did not have ethtool installed so I did a 'dmesg |grep ...

Joggers getting same IP address
Hi, I am trying to run 2 jogglers with the birdslikewires Ubuntu Bionic (Kernel 3.16) for OpenFrame image but they keep getting the same IP4 address via DHCP. I checked and they have a different MAC address and I even changed the hostname in /etc/hostname but they still get the same IP. Anyone knows...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
There are difficulties with running LMS on any NAS (I'm not saying it is impossible) but a lot of people (even owners of Jogglers) run LMS on a raspberry pi or a desk/laptop, small form computer. Thx for pointing me in the right direction. As I figured autodiscovery was not working properly and I h...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
You can look here on the Joggler: Home > Settings > Advanced > Networking > Remote Libraries > Add New Library and enter the LMS IP address. The thing is; I have no idea how to get to home since it is only showing the try again/switch library page. That's why I hoped someone could tell me how to sk...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
What is strange then about that setup? The NAS has the songs, has enough power and is on 24/7. Seems like the logical place for LMS. Since it works fine with squeezelite as long as I enter the IP of the server, I assume this should be fixable/configurable on the joggler if someone knows where to do ...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
I installed LMS on XigmaNAS in a jail and want to connect with squeezeplayos on the joggler. (Starting Logitech Media Server (v7.9.2, 1545144292, Tue Dec 18 16:23:28 CET 2018) perl 5.026002 - amd64-freebsd-thread-multi) Since the joggler was not working I tried to run squeezelite on my desktop. That...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Hi joggy and welcome. thx Easy way is to install LMS on another computer, make sure it's running and connect to that. Then proceed with your Joggler set-up I have LMS running. However trying to connect to that with squeezelite required me to add the IP as well for it to work. any other suggestions?
