Re: For Sale Due To House Move!

Thanks for the info re postage ;) I never thought about adding where I was as I assumed that anyone who might want it would be too far away to come and collect it  As to where we're going? We actually have to move twice! We've just sold our house and are moving into rented accommodation while o...

Re: Now Tv

Yup my very favorite lighter (well it was a memento) still sits under my oldest car seat in some sort of a vent. I have tried magnets and little draw strings to get it and have had no luck. Its been over 10 years now and every once in a while I think about it. I would have to remove the seat to get...

Re: pete-c weather programme

Interesting Turvey. I'd like to visit over that way sometime. And very welcome you would be made too ;) Just make sure you visit in summer when the weathers a bit better. Been having storms over the last couple of days with boats being cancelled etc. Pic of ferry leaving Orkney this morning... http...

pete-c weather programme

Totally random bit of information here but the software you use for your weather stations is made and maintained on the Island of Sanday which is about 20 miles from where I live ;)

Re: speed of your broadband?

The main socket in our house is now in the kitchen :? The router is plugged into the one in the hall so I'm going to try it in the main one and see if there's a difference in speeds. Problem is the main computer is in the sitting room linked to the router with an ethernet cable under the floor. So I...

Re: speed of your broadband?

Hmm not good that Turvey. If you ping your router can you see what your sync speed is? If it is a lot faster than the above results then you either need a BRAS profile re set or you can wait 10 days and the speed will go up automatically if you leave your router plugged in and switched on the whole...

Re: O2 Joggler for sale £30 including p&p

Unless the forum software has an admin tool to do something like this, it's not going to happen. Yeah, that's what I was thinking about more than relying on people's honesty. Just thinking out loud here but couldn't it be made an admin posting area only? If you want to sell something you have to PM...

Re: O2 Joggler for sale £30 including p&p

Why not have a minimum (appropriate) posting before being allowed to post in the 'For Sale' section?

It might not stop the spammers/scammers but it will deter them a bit ;)

Re: Computer slow to start

Set it to default settings and still the same. Tried it with everything removed, only mouse connected, only keyboard connected, still the same. What I have discovered is that if there is only one stick of memory in, it doesn't matter which stick it is or slot it's installed in, it only takes about 1...
