Thoughts on d-i-y mounting bracket for 'betting shop' jogglers?
Hi All a slightly silly question, perhaps - has anyone any tips on an alternative bracket/stand for the 'betting shop' Jogglers that were around a few years ago? I have a couple of these and was thinking of resurrecting them for various purposes. I would like them to be freestanding like the unmodif...

Re: Debian Bookworm for OpenFrame
The fact that the Beeb have turned off MP3 streaming of everything except World Service confused me for a bit, as I was setting all this up on the 16th June, the day they switched off those feeds. One minute everything was fine, next minute there was nothing and naturally I assumed it was something...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)
PS: I perhaps also should say that I have never, so far, bothered with checking the supported audio formats, it has always worked 'well enough' for me (I mainly play music from my home NAS). But these recent postings have nudged me to take a look at EDO etc. I probably should have done that years ag...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)
Hi all Sorry for delayed reply, I wasn't getting notifications about them. Slightly embarrassing ... after reading the above few postings, I just restarted LMS (having previously set the 'hide sample rate') setting in the plugin ... and it looks like things are fine! I will read a bit more though as...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)
Hi there, thanks for your reply You will need to delete those favourites as they will no longer work. In the UK, BBC radio streams are now only available via the new BBC platform. You can add them again from BBC Sounds when you get it working in LMS. I know that is going to be true, but is it so, ye...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)
Hi all - this is probably an LMS question rather than an SQPOS/Joggler one, but I thought I'd ask here anyway... I have lost the Radio stations on my Joggler. I am running SQPOS connected to an LMS running on my NAS. I have the BBC Sounds plugin installed, but I think the Radio Favourites I have are...

Re: 3 Jogglers going free - collect from Sth London or pay postage
I would be happy to pay postage for one (maybe the boxed one?) - I am in Brighton, but don't get up further than Crawley very often.
Thanks, Jon N

Re: Joggler nas box
FWIW: I have a Supermicro server which I run with a low-power server and fans as slow as possible for power consumption reasons. I use this as my storage NAS and server for LMS music. I am currently running Ubuntu server on it but I would like to move (back) to a more NAS-based distribution. I used ...

Occasional LMS issue - order of tracks gets screwed - any thoughts?
Hi All this is more likely an LMS problem rather than anything on my Jogglers, but I thought I'd ask here anyway... I have LMS on a server connecting to SqueezeplayOS on a couple of Jogglers. We have some audio books on my LMS which a grandchild likes to listen to at night on one of the jogglers. Oc...

SqueezeplayerOS: "Due to Rights Restrictions..."
Hi All quite possibly not a joggler issue per se, but anyway... I run SQPOS on a joggler; I've recently changed my home server but I imagine that is not relevant. Sometimes, recently, when listening to BBC Radio4 say, a male voice cuts in with a repeating message: Due to Rights Restrictions, this pa...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Update - I seem to have got this sorted. I did a more full clearout of LMS on the new server (dpkg --purge, and then got rid of /var/lib/logitechmediaserver IIRC), then reinstalled (7.9.4, good enough for me I think), and things seem to be OK. I will take a look at 8.x later, after I've moved everyt...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
When LMS player connects to LMS it is told the version of the LMS it is connecting to. There is a bug in the version comparison check that is made by the Squeezeplay in SQPOS303 which leads to it incorrectly reporting that it cannot work with versions of LMS 8 and higher. I have posted a fix Squeez...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
@jkn Maybe try pulling the power on the Joggler and leaving it for 24 hours, then power up and try again ? :geek: Hi - TBH I had thought of that, it's finding the right 'domestically acceptable' time... FWIW I also tried to remove the current 'active' server, so that I could start from scratch as i...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
I have an associated question/problem to the one above, though not exactly the same... I have a couple of jogglers with sqpos303, connecting to a home NAS running logitechmediaserver. This all works fine, even though the server version is old: $ yum list logitechmediaserver logitechmediaserver.noarc...

Re: Joggler Problems (2 Jogglers, different prblems)
Nice one [emoji106] some people also put a usb stick internally in place of the usb wireless card which isn't the best then fit an external usb WiFi Dongle in the side port . There is a recommended supported one but I forget what it is at the moment. Sent from my VOG-L29 using Tapatalk I think the ...

Re: fitting/using an external I2S DAC rather than a USB one?
Yeah - given the lack of I2S in the system,. and having reminded myself of the differences, I don't think this is worth pursuing (for me, at the moment). I already have a cheap USB DAC kicking around, I was just wondering about the alternatives...

Re: fitting/using an external I2S DAC rather than a USB one?
Hmm, I may have answered my own question. There doesn't seem to be any I2S reference on the STAC9202 datasheet...
