Re: Ubuntu Bionic for OpenFrame
So, given all of the above, how long until SQPOS is brought up to speed with the new image?

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Only ask because I'm toying with the idea of making a version 4 when the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS release comes out, so wanted to check if I've missed something in v2 or v3. No promises, mind - I'll have to see how much has changed (systemd!) and probably need to do the 32-bit build on a 64-bit system (32-...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
This is because the apt repo it's pointing at has "gone" now. Scroll back through this thread, and there's a sed (or possibly awk - I always get them muddled up) line to swap it to the historical mirrors...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
The MAC address is set during the install process.
Here's the code used to build the SQPOS: https://github.com/andydvsn/OpenFrame-Ubuntu
In particular, take a look down the "Overlay-Trusty" path

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
Just for clarity, those scripts don't have anything to do with how BuZz builds his images (though I learned masses from how he does things!) so don't expect him to be able to offer support on them. Also, they only build to a command line image and will require the setup script (see /usr/local/bin o...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
I've been playing with the scripts by roobarb that he's got on his Github Repo and I'm getting there (it's really quite easy to produce an image... I think! ofimgcreate.sh 16.04 ext2 1024 32 0 xenial overlay-trusty kernel/4.04 ) but I can't make it boot yet... :) Unfortunately, I also knackered my s...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
Don't suppose anyone has made the jump to 16.04? I need bluez5 for something I'm trying and the Bluez5-for-Trusty PPA keeps hanging the box when starting BluetoothD

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Thanks but looks like out of my league  OK, so to be fair, it's not exactly the easiest bit of code to wrap your head around... but, the actual body of the code is in lines 1 to 70, the rest is something to pick files to add as the picture, and making it point the right way. The actual bit to ...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
is there a way to customise weather and clock applet for screensaver? Got bored :-). Also how to correctly enter weather location? You could use the "Photo Frame" screensaver, and build the content into there using something like PHP+ImageMagick? I started looking at doing something aroun...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Hey Pete! Thanks for the reply. So, to put this in some context, I've been running the SQPOS for at least 4 years now, the issue here was that I was performing the same post-install config (the version of SQPOS I had on these was based on Ubuntu 10.04, which meant I wasn't able to apt-get install on...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Hi, Is there any way that I can pre-populate things like Wifi credentials, or the preferred ubuntu mirror to use for updates? I'm wandering around my house resetting up all my jogglers with this latest version, because I wanted to install a package from Ubuntu (I'm doing fun things with home-assista...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
Hi Donhulio - I've found using the OnBoard keyboard (under Accessories) doesn't have the same issue. You can temporarily resolve the issue with Florence by going to the settings icon (The spanner on the left hand side), swapping to "Touch screen" and then swapping back to "Mouse"...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
Updates for Ubuntu and Xubuntu released (14/05/2012) (snip) * Updated and improved Joggler packages - including xbmc, btrfs-tools, rt2870sta How easy/hard would it be to swap to rt2800usb rather than rt2870sta? I'd like to use Master Mode (to turn these little beauties into wireless extenders using...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
The dark one comes up with the O2 logo. The light one comes up with OpenPeak. The one which doesn't have any issues comes up with the OpenPeak logo. The backlight control with the Joggler OS is fine on the dark one. I bought the other two specifically to run the Squeezeplay software, so I've not re...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
1) All of the devices appear to crash the UI occasionally. The music is still playing in the background and pressing the SqueezePlay icon on the Joggler menu once does nothing. Pressing it again (sometimes needing two or three presses more) will eventually bring up the splash screen. I'm using the ...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
Hi, I'm loving SqueezePlay for the Native UI (I have three O2 Jogglers all running it around the house), but I'm having a few issues, and I wonder if anyone can help? 1) All of the devices appear to crash the UI occasionally. The music is still playing in the background and pressing the SqueezePlay ...
