Re: Joggler Screen Disassembly

I explored the possibilty of a car install a little while back. For me the joggler was a tad tall to fit my dash opening and I set about it with various pointed and destructive implements! Cracking the front glass in the process! The screen, digitiser and front glass are all bonded together as far a...

Re: ICS X86 Source Out!

Another stupid question. I can't seem to find the "Shutdown/Reboot" option/button in ICS. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks again. Normally from a hardware power button, which we don't have. Mijuu integrated the shutdown menu into the top bar on the old build. But you sho...

Re: ICS X86 Source Out!

Does the data usage graph work for anyone? It's one of the ICS features I'm quite looking forward to on my phone. Not working in this build...yet. The data usage graph looks like it might just work on mobile networks not home adsl ,not sure about that but it looks like that could be the case . Ther...

Re: Using a 5VDC 2.5 AMP POE injector with Joggler

Good work Pete. UPS?! you really don't want to be without your Jogglers do you! ;) Have you got a feel now as to how much current a Joggler needs, for reliable booting, full backlight brightness etc Thinking about driving one from a DC-DC convertor and wondering if it needs to be spec'ed for the ful...

Re: ICS X86 Source Out!

OK, I finally got this to boot by doing the following: - Formatted the USB stick using the HP format utility, - Unzipped the "Easy_to_use_package_Usbdisk(ICS).zip" first, - Then unzipped the "ICS_Joggler_4.0.3_Alpha.zip" file second, and over wrote the grub.cfg file. This way, t...

Mine has audio issues, but not all the time. Not doing it as I type this (lol the keyboard sounds!)

Noises come back if left idle. I'm sure it will get fixed.

Re: ICS X86 Source Out!

The Fever is gripping me for sure!

I am gobsmacked at how much of this working!!! Loving that slide to side to dismiss notification and kill apps.
Although as I have speakers on mine, the 'marching ants' is starting to annoy!

Re: ICS X86 Source Out!

This is insane! Is there anything the joggler can't run! Just had a play. Looks really promising.
Really nice not having to use button saviour!! Changed my Font size to huge, looks good.

Why does this always happen when I was going to have an early night.

Re: 3 Faulty Jogglers on Ebay ended today...

My batch of Ebay Jogglers have this same issue. Reflash ok but remain stuck at O2 logo. I haven't tried the 'zero' test yet, but it occurs to me that some bits may not be able to be set to '1' anymore (stuck at '1') This would pass the zero test. Roobarb what would the equivalent test for an 'all 1s...

Re: PSU for joggler

Here are some that I've found so far.... compatible, I think, but not original. 5.5mm x 2.1mm connector, by my measurements. Farnell charge a handling fee of £6.99 per order, I think instead of P&P £11.60 each for 3+ units - http://cpc.farnell.com/powerpax/pa-1030-0540/adaptor-5v-4a-multi-input...

Re: 3 Faulty Jogglers on Ebay ended today...

I picked up 3 in mid December for £60 inc postage. 1x Openpeak and 2 O2, all stuck on logos.

Like a lot of these lots they only come with one PSU. Has anyone found a good source for a replacement?

I keep watching these auctions, but maybe 6 jogglers is enough now! :D

ICS would be amazing!

Realistically, what are the chances of getting this going, considering the progress already achieved with Android?

Re: RELEASE - Windows XP Professional SP3

Thanks Mevi, I'll try out the VHD approach. Up till now I've been using USB sticks, this was my first attempt with an SSD!
Still think it's brilliant, how many OS's I can now choose for this 'failed' product

Thanks guys, that was the trick I had missed. Good to see there is a separate thread for it now.
Is there really no utility that works without this trick?

Anyway got my Kingspec working now. :D

Re: New Android 2.2.2 Mijuu Build 1.2.4 + Google Apps

I will try it somewhere else and see if it is a network/router problem. Concerning button savior - were you using it before on Alindls image? I was and wonder if that image was not correctly rooted so that button savior only responded to the home button and none of the others. Off to experiment. It...

Re: New Android 2.2.2 Mijuu Build 1.2.4 + Google Apps

Just loaded up the new image. Opened fine and connected to the wifi and clock synchronised. Particularly interested in two things that didnt work before - button savious and beebplayer. Good news is that button saviour now works so it must be rooted. But no luck with beebplayer (havent connected to...
