Re: Basic music only player needed.

For installing Clementine: 1 - login to your Joggler via SSH ssh joggler@ip_of_joggler -X 2 - add PPA sudo add-apt-repository ppa:me-davidsansome/clementine 3 - sudo apt-get update 4 - sudo apt-get install clementine Above notice the -X for logging in with x windows. Re: Basic music only player needed.

Ok thanks everyone,I'll try that when I get time.
What happens to the internal SPDIF output that needs to be activated when running Squeezeplay, will it sill work with Android or Clementine?

Re: Basic music only player needed.

Installed Clementine on a basic Openframe 2 that is running Squeezeplayer. Interface is kind of small and it would be difficult to navigate with the touch screen. You could just remove the autolaunch of Squeezeplayer and launch Clementine on boot. clementine.jpg Ok thanks, looks good.I can only find...

Re: Basic music only player needed.

Got it working but only by reflashing it again and reinstalling LMS etc. It's getting beyond a joke that I have to go through all this just to listen to music :( . Sooooooo......is there not a basic music player that will work on Joggler I can use instead? http://www.mediafire.com/file/...r-android-...

Re: Basic music only player needed.

I forgot it issues a new IP address every time,so managed to get into LMS to configure it to find my music. But it still needs a wired ethernet connection to find the music even though it's seeing the flash drive when I plug it in It flashes). But it won't work on wi-fi and won't find my music no matt...

Re: Basic music only player needed.

Ok thanks for the answer Ronnie. I've only just finished playing with it after getting rid of the latest version and going back to an earlier one,in this case sqpos109.It gave me LMS to install, which I did.I logged onto http://192.168.0.16:9000/ from my PC and it let me go through the procedure of m...

Re: Basic music only player needed.

Ok so I tried the latest version of the native OS.I don't like the way when a flash drive is plugged in it opens up all the folders and lists their contents all in the same place.I will normally want to select a folder and listen only to it's contents,so that's no good for me. I reflashed the latest...

Basic music only player needed.

I had a few Jogglers some four or five years ago when I got it working in my car successfully running Squeezeplay. I've just bought another one with the intention of using it as just a desk top music player that doesn't need an internet connection. All I want to do is to plug a flash drive in,have it...

Re: S/PDIF output

I did mine like this in one of the speaker housings. It's a nice snug fit and the original speaker housing back cover goes back on again to make sure it's solidly mounted.....

Re: S/PDIF output

The Toslink socket I used needs 5 volts though,as I'm pretty certain most of them do?

Re: How to get Squeezeplay working without a wi-fi connectio

Don't forget this is how you told me to do it so it doesn't have to talk to LMS to find out where the music is kept. With it the above way it couldn't find it,with that extra line added on it would find it without a wi-fi connection.

Re: How to get Squeezeplay working without a wi-fi connectio

Ok,I think the most relevant place for this question is on the end of this one. I have a bit of a problem if there's an unscheduled power cut while using the Joggler,or if it's not shut down properly. This normally only happens if I'm experimenting with it in the car and pull the power plug out by mi...

Re: CarPC JoyCon Exr with Joggler

Waiting for my new U-HID thingie, should be here tomorrow so will know soon enough if it'll do what I need it to do.If it does I might think about running all the steering wheel controls through it and do away with the infra-red completely.

Re: CarPC JoyCon Exr with Joggler

I reckon this should suit my needs perfectly......

As long as I regulate it down to 5 Volts,it can be programmed to respond to the ignition on/off states without any further circuitry.

Re: CarPC JoyCon Exr with Joggler

Ok thanks for that Pete. There are lots of ways I can do this. The main problem is that all my remote controls for the Joggler are in the steering wheel and I have no spare wires as they're all used up getting power etc to my infra red transmitter.I've got a spare Flirc which I could plug into the Jo...
