Specifically I'm trying to get Andy's Ham working or at least as many programs as I can on his build for Ubuntu , I think for 32 bit he uses 14.04 .

Re: Ubuntu Bionic request .

That's OK Pete. Thanks anyway. @Hawsey Gary I have had another go at installing Lubuntu-core. It take well over an hour and then fails with: Setting up libbonoboui2-0:i386 (2.24.5-4) ... Setting up libgnomeui-0:i386 (2.24.5-3.2) ... Processing triggers for libc-bin (2.27-3ubuntu1) ... Processing tr...

Re: Jivelite on Joggler

Hey folks, Just been on a DM with Chill about all this - here's something that might help: https://dl.birdslikewires.net/openframe/base/ Use the reflash system to write that to an OpenFrame1/Joggler internal memory and see if you can build a system based on that image. It's an up-to-date Ubuntu Bio...

Hi David , welcome to the forum :-)

Do you know what you are running on your Jogglers ?
It's possibly Squeezeplay OS installed on the internal .

Re: NooElec NESDR Smart (Software Defined Radio )

I gave Android a go with an SDR app called SDR touch and surprised myself as it works 8-) You download SDR touch and also the generic RTL driver as an app . I'm using the non paid Demo version to start with . https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190102/1cd96ca77e7b7ac23fc26bcd228ab343.jpg https://uplo...

NooElec NESDR Smart (Software Defined Radio )

Happy New Year :-) I'm trying to set up a Joggler as an SDR with the above . I think I'm just making Linux errors as usual . If I type lsusb I see the device listed but then the instructions say type lsmod | grep dvb But I get nothing , pdf below https://www.nooelec.com/store/downloads/dl/file/id/72...

Re: Recommendations for use as home automation controller?

Thanks for the input everyone! Sorry for the late reply! Merry Christmas! At the risk of being accused of heresy, have you looked at a Pipo x8 or Raspberry Pi with a touchscreen? I actually hadn't heard of the Pipo x8 until I Googled it just now... pretty cool! I have to say tho, as much ...
