Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!

Cheers dwl99 , I shall try that and report back :-) Hi Gary, Buy it on your Android phone, copy the apk file to your SD card, upload it to Dropbox on your phone then install it from Dropbox on the Joggler. Simples! PS there's a small chance it won't be compatible with the Joggler's x86 architecture ...

Re: Joggler for Sale

Hi Hawsey, For the sale, I flashed it to the latest openpeak image. There's a small chance there's a mint image on my old NAS - I just need to remember where I put the thing! I'll have a scrounge over the next few evenings. Cheers Paul Cheers Paul much appreciated :-) I'm also after JoliOs if you f...

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!

I am messing with SDR radio on Android ICS on my Joggler and came across an issue where the Play Store says the Joggler is not compatible however if I side load the APK , than it works ( no all features ) I want to purchase the full app and not the trial but it doesn't let me buy on the Joggler . Is...

Re: Ubuntu Bionic request .

That's great Pete , great progress :-) thank you .
The SDR software was Gqrx

http://gqrx.dk/download/install-ubuntu

Although I wouldn't mind if it was a different one if Gqrx is no good to install .

Cheers

Re: Joggler Ubuntu 14.04.05 EMGD + Kernel 4.4.121

How would I add wireless and Ubuntu software centre to this build please ? Also
It boots up great when plugged straight in to the Joggler but fails with usb hub .

Great work by the way , thank you :-)

Re: NooElec NESDR Smart (Software Defined Radio )

Nice one , Pete :-) yes , I love the Raspberry Pi but here just seeing how far I can push the Joggler , yes my SDR kit came with 3 or 4 antennas . Picking up the aircraft over my house has been fun. I broke my Ubuntu and Android builds unfortunately so tonight I will rebuild and back up this time :-...

Re: NooElec NESDR Smart (Software Defined Radio )

I have had more experiments with my Android Ham Radio stuff . Has anyone an idea how I would get a microphone working on the Joggler using Android ICS ? Is there anywhere internal that I could solder to maybe? I would like the microphone working for Zello , which kind of turns your device in to a CB...

Re: Ubuntu Bionic request .

Well it looks like I broke my build going up to 16.04 , it tries to boot but then brings up emergency mode .
If I hit enter I get root@joggler is there any easy way to fix? :-)

Re: Ubuntu Bionic request .

Thanks for all the efforts :-) I'm struggling on myself and managed to install some of the Amature Radio software I wanted on 14.04 but have now decided to upgrade to 16.04 , wish me luck :-) .
Afterwards I will look at Bionic .

Specifically I'm trying to get Andy's Ham working or at least as many programs as I can on his build for Ubuntu , I think for 32 bit he uses 14.04 .

Re: Ubuntu Bionic request .

That's OK Pete. Thanks anyway. @Hawsey Gary I have had another go at installing Lubuntu-core. It take well over an hour and then fails with: Setting up libbonoboui2-0:i386 (2.24.5-4) ... Setting up libgnomeui-0:i386 (2.24.5-3.2) ... Processing triggers for libc-bin (2.27-3ubuntu1) ... Processing tr...
