Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Hi. I just got a Joggler running SqPOS with an external Muse DAC, and it sounds GREAT. But... It doesn't play WMA. I know this is to do with the need to have Mplayer and PlayWMA on the Joggler and LMS respectively. Is MPlayer part of the SqPOS build? If so, what I am I not doing right to get my WMA...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Hi I'm not sure is that how should be or there is some small bug in the system. I'm trying to do crontab -e but I get crontabs/joggler/: fdopen: Permission deniedjoggler@openframe:~$ After checking permissions on /usr/bin/crontab it looks like there are not quite right: joggler@openframe:~$ ls -l /u...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
I've just installed new ver of SqueezePlay OS (ext ver.) on o2 joggler but I'm having some problems to run it. At the first start I can chose language, wired connection but it doesn't connect to mysqueezebox.com. It says "We couldn't connect to ..." My internet is fine. I can see joggler o...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Hmmm, already missing WMA on my squeezeplayos v3. Would picoreplayer play WMA streams or does that rely on squeezeplayos doing transcending? Guess I'll play tomorrow - it's a bit late right now. You can play WMA streams on SqueezePlay OS but they need to be transcoded by LMS to for example FLAC by ...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
Hi BuZz I've just tried your new Xubuntu 12.10 Quantal and I'm having huge problems to setup static IP. It works till restart. After restart Network Manager creates new "Wired Connection x" with new MAC. It's so annoying and I think I've tried everything since 2 days and nothing helps. Any...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
Thanks BuZz. One more thing. I'm trying to install Squeezeplay using desktop icon but when I click on it black window just flashes once and nothing happens. Any ideas? Thanks, |Kazan| Edit: looks like sqp.sh is not there where should be. "http://birdslikewires.co.uk/download/joggler/squeezeplay...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
Is it just me or there is no ssh server by default in latest BuZz's Xubuntu?
And still have got problems with sticky keys so I just used OnBoard keyboard.
Edit: sticky keys might be because of updates which are starting shortly after 1st boot of new system and eat nearly whole CPU.

Re: ubuntu / xubuntu 12.04 (precise pangolin)
Hello, Thanks for all your hard work. I just wanted to test xubuntu and I can confirm I've got same problem with on screen keyboard like someone earlier. Then I've add thermal.psv=85 to grub.cfg and that didn't help at all. Other problem which I've noticed is I've used on screen short cut to install...

Re: using joggler as a NAS & PrintServer
Hello, I'm using my joggler (buzz's Ubuntu Ext4 version) as NAS since long time. Not only as NAS(samba & NFS) but as well as Squeezeplay, DLNA server(servivo), FTP server etc. (no PrintServer). I've got everything on Gbit network at home and transfers which I've got are reaching max of USB port ...

Re: Internal USB SSD failure FYI
Hello,
any chance you could tell what USB stick are you using for this? Is it fast enough for system? What transfers are you having?
I'm planning to the same but not sure which USB stick I should buy.
Thanks,
|Kazan|

Re: Ubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
Hi BuZz, thank you so much for your Natty img. It's great, it's much better than 10.10. I have got only 2 small problems. 1) I'm using WiFi connection and once per week network connection disappears although Joggler is still showing that connection is active, but it's not. So I have to manually dis...
