Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Chris, a quick google gave me this http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?100379-Announce-ShairTunes-Plugin/page8 I don't know if this applies to you as I don't understand the shairport thing. I seem to recall reading on a post somewhere, that it does take exclusive control or something (in w...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Have you installed EDO? ronnie well now I have. seems too obvious... thanks :D EDIT : I spoke too soon. Still busted. BUT... It turns out what actually fixed it was getting rid if .xinitrc and launching squeezeplay.sh manually. So... Launching it manually works (but I get these 'errors') Last...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
I haven't been able to use my joggler with sqpos because it gets stuck trying to launch squeezeplay. I'm using a sabre DAC now that I've given up on trying to get the schiit modi to work but am having the same exact problem :x . With the sabre DAC and running sqpos either internally or externally it...

Re: 24/96 Squeezeplay and External USB DAC
Helllllp! So... Joggler works perfectly on v3.0.1 on a fresh install. On the first reboot it won't actually make it back into Squeezeplay, the screen just flashes telling me about the last login. /var/log/syslog: Dec 22 22:48:49 openframe kernel: init: tty1 main process ended, respawning Dec 22 22:4...

Re: SqueezePlay OS Beta Test
So, what can I do to troubleshoot? I popped the drive in another machine and did fsck and fixed something, popped it back in the joggler and this is all I can make out... efi ioremap failed io8042: no controller found isch_smbus isch_smbus.33049 SMBus region 0x0 already in use! gma500: Invalid ROM c...

Re: SqueezePlay OS Beta Test
So after a few days of not using the joggler I went to play something and sound was coming from the internal speakers. I changed it to external, rebooted, and now have an fsck error I can't get past. Grrr. I guess I'll look for a USB keyboard?

Re: SqueezePlay OS Beta Test
I was finally able to set my joggler back up after moving in January. I tired v2 it booted once no problem, found my DAC (schiit modi) and all was well until it rebooted and got stuck in a boot loop. I got it to boot with the DAC unplugged; plugged it in, changed audio settings to external and did a...

Re: Linux Kernels with GMA500 Support
Schiit Modi.
I use a hifimediy with the joggler right now and the modi with my pogoplug, so this isn't of much importance. I'd just rather use the modi with the joggler and my "good" stereo.

I did not fix it  . Installed the kernel and it rebooted fine. Selected external interface and relaunched SqpOS and it flashes back and forth between the squeezeplay and openpeak screens. My DAC uses a cmedia cm6631 familly chips. I have ArchLinux ARM running on a pogoplug. Initial install has ...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler
Can you find out why it's supported in 13.04 and not in earlier versions? I'm guessing it's a kernel driver rather than anything specific to Ubuntu 13.04. My current internet digging has only left me with a quote saying the new kernel has better audio support... Where would I start looking to see i...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler
So it turns out that my DAC is plug-and-play starting only with 13.04. Where would I start if I wanted to upgrade SQPOS to 13.04? I'm assuming a "do-release-upgrade -d" wouldn't work, and would take ages to find out. I have a LOT of free time so I'm hoping if I can at least be pointed in t...

Re: 24/96 Squeezeplay and External USB DAC
I updated to the 3.2.51 kernel after reading that there could be issues with the USB controller and the kernel, didn't help. Re: 24/96 Squeezeplay and External USB DAC
I purchased a Schiit Modi dac and apparently didn't do enough research because I'm getting mixed information on whether it works with linux. Some say yes, out of the box (raspyfi), others say use pulseaudio, and others say no. If I boot the joggler with the DAC plugged in, it goes into a loop betwee...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler
I just changed from internal to external audio, rebooted, and now I'm stuck in a boot loop. Tried booting without anything connected and it still happens. I'll try booting from USB tomorrow to see if it makes any difference. Anyone else ever experience this though? edit: I've been using the SQPOS in...
